I've heard this since I was a child in the 1950's - we lived very close to Naval Avionics and these sirens would go off every Friday at 11:00 am. So I'd sit out in the grass and listen to them.

I grew up in Iran, born 1986. I remember this, very creepy and unreal. I live in Sweden now, we have a test first monday each month, it’s only a test… while people are working, shopping, having fun. But the sirens I heard as a child is real, people are fleeing, you have to be there to feel how scary it actually is. You have nowhere to run. War is not fun and this video makes me cry each time.

My parents have been through this siren many times during the war in iraq, and they say it was the scariest thing to ever happen, because they know that now they are in danger. My mum had a bomb drop right at the backyard of her house. This was in the 1990's.

I've worked overnight with the same seven coworkers/friends for the past 4 years now and they are constantly trying to scare or prank the old guy...me!
We worked in a large warehouse/store environment which makes it easy to prank or scare someone during the overnight hours. My coworkers played a really, really good prank on me one night and of course that meant I had to even the score. I took my large bluetooth speaker to work one night and hid it close to the breakroom. During break I started playing this siren and everyone started looking at each other trying figure out if they needed to get under the table or go outside or what! After a few seconds I started laughing and let them off the hook....

i remember hearing this back then. It sounds a little different than that. Boy was that war terrifying. people say times are rough right now, but back then it was way worse. I freak out hearing this siren sound it was that bad then
Back in '99 when I was a kid, during the war these sirens would alarm us of iminent NATO air raids. Even today when I hear this kind of sound, immediatley i remember those days. War is hell folks.
Scenario:
