Julie plec was not fond of kat and decided to kill her off in the earlier seasons but Ian stood up for her and told julie plec that if she dies, he quits.
Yep, and after Kat announced that season 8 was her last season, Ian also announced he was not coming back in solidarity to Kat. They were both fed up with TVD.

@@tarsharimehta4886 no. They were going to have a season 9. When Kat quit they were just going to replace her not a week later Ian quit. They were actually planning for 13 seasons total. But once Ian decided to quit they wrapped the show since they knew people wouldn’t watch anymore.

See how Ian avoids looking directly at the camera. I see contempt/disgust at the writers for not exploring Bonnie/Damon. He's not laughing, joking or smiling like he has in the past. He still loves and adores Kat because her plugs her in in every interview. Kat just talks about Damon's influence. Not bozo. I love somergraham unity. I wonder who will continue onto S8. I also wonder if Ian will participate as much on the Cons?

Guys you can tell Ian Somerhalder loves Kat Graham in real life and her character on the show. What a sweetie he is!!! I love him dearly. I think Kat Graham loves Ian Somerhalder in real life too. But she was disappointed that he was married to Nikki Reed so they are best friends for life and forever. And also Ian Somerhalder wanted more TV time with Kat Graham on the show. I don't blame him she's gorgeous and beautiful.

I love Elena. I love Damon. I totally ship delena. But season 7 is my favorite season. It's a bamon and defan season. No love triangle. No everything revolves around Elena. Okay granted she still played a huge roll while she was in "her sleepy beauty coma" but season 7 focused more on friendship and brotherhood
THANK YOU. I’m srly mind boggled at how much everyone hated season 7 and 8. I was honestly so glad we got a break from the constant “i need to save elena!” “No! I’ll save her! I love her more!” Crap. Like i love delena but im glad we got to see character developments for other characters and relationships

I didn't like s7 because Damon and Alaric relationship was ruined. And Bamon was kind of ruined too. But I loved s8 because bamon reunion and it was defan season too

The only reason the writers didn't want Bamon even though it had amazing chemistry was because the writers and producers hated Kat.

Coz i really loved the chemistry between their character. I didn't ship their characters, i think i don't ship this two with any of the other characters, but i really loved their cat and dog relationship. They're so fun to watch.

I only watched the show because of Bonnie .Bonnie held the whole show on her back ❤️Kat could’ve been so much bigger in vampire diaries.her and Damon had so much chemistry especially being stuck in the 90,s together.Kai and Bonnie had so much chemistry to .it’s crazy how even Ian said he would want his love entrance to be Bonnie.even Paul Wesley said he would want to date kat on the show .I just hate Julie pleack she’s a racist and she ruined the whole show.

That's true, but then why not have Bamon, a ship that fans wanted to see and nominated Ian and Kat for an award, and leave Stefan and Caroline as best friends. I see people saying this all the time. Steroline could have remained friends and Bamon could have sailed if the writers weren't so racist.

An i remember from season 1 everyone wanted Damon and Bonnie to be together-- Bioniie and Jeremy Did not WORK at all, Only relationship that worked for Bonnie was the one who died in the last season.
