The comparisons here are so well done and I love the "circle of wait" in the top left corner of each segment to let you know how much time is left in each clip. The garage and tree clips were especially enlightening. What I don't understand across RUclips is that this seems to be one of the few product launches where the launched product is almost exclusively compared against the GoPro. We all know that is no contest. The Action 4, as was done here, is a much better comparison and those that might add the Pocket 3 would be very helpful. Ultimately, thanks for taking the time to do this great comparison.

I’m not sure you know this or not, but there is a lens cover over the LEICA lens. The cover is non-removable. It would be rare to damage an action camera lens cover, unless it was slide along pavement (need something to scratch into the lens cover). You’d nrately damage it flying FPV drones (I’ve been flying FPV for years and have never damaged the lens cover on an external camera), in addition all FPV drone cameras do not have a removable lens and I have never damaged one of those in a crash. I have the 12 hero gopro and I always thought that it would have been great if the 12 had features as "pause" while recording. I just found out that this is possible on the insta 360 ace. Man, I want this ace now.
Did you not have the action 4 in night mode ? It’s almost identical to the Ace Pro aside from the Ace having HDR and performs better with highlights. Go Pro 12 is the worst performer in low light of the 3 by a lot.
Yup, DJI Action 4 was at its best for the night shots which explains why it didn’t look as bad as the GoPro. If you believe the Action 4 can shoot low light as well as the Ace Pro, then you are in for a big reality surprise.
Just bought the action 4 days ago and I am having buyer’s remorse now hhha. I actually want the insta 360 ace pro now because I usually shoot in low light
Your analysis of these action cameras is excellent. Could you ask me a question: is it overheating these three cameras when you film in 4K? And which heats up more and which doesn't heat up?
It is not HOT in my area so no camera overheats. However I have owned the DJI Action 4 since the late summer and it never overheated. I have owned the GoPro Hero 12 since September and on a very hot day when sun is shining on the camera, it has overheated and turned off.

Oh… that only applies if you film in LOG profile with a high bit rate. Action cameras and drone consumer cameras are next to impossible to color correctly unless the exposure was bang on during filming.
I have seen many of these videos. Probably about 30 or so regarding the differences, I now know for certain that the Insta360 ACE PRO is the one I need to get. I'm a wood carver looking for something simple and to the point, but also to film out door adventures and other content subject matter. You have essentially confirmed what better than 2/3rd the video's have confirmed. The Insta360 ACE Pro is the way to go.
Just to let you how things turned out, the recording of the football game on Friday night came out pretty good. It is a well lighted field and I followed them back and forth along the sidelines the whole game. I recorded it on pure video at 30 fps and x2 magnification. The video almost appears to be shot during daylight. It is clear, unlike the videos shot with our cellphones, they are dark and gritty. For a nonprofessional just an everyday father and grandfather doing family videos I am pleased. The only issue I have found is that my horizon is not always level. Unfortunately in this mode the ace pro does not offer horizon steady. So now I am thinking about if I can find a compact gimbal that will work with the ace pro just to keep the horizon level. Well I guess it’s off to the internet to see what I can find. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. Keep flying!
Steve great review on the new Insta360 Ace pro. It's the action camera to buy if you don't own an action camera. My only critic is the remote control is really expensive for a remote control. I realize it has tons of feature, but if you want to start and stop a video, it pretty expensive. You can hook up your Apple watch, so maybe a simple app to control the Insta 360 with simple command, from your apple watch. Insta360 engineers are you listening, you can charge a nominal fee for the app. Just saying.....
I believe the GPS watch remote is $100 US if you buy the bundle (camera, remote and other items). It is one of the bundles shown when you click on the link.
another exciting review video, thanks Captain!! The AI Warp looks super interesting and i love the "disappearing steve" game . Btw love your new beard look
I think they missed an opportunity to have a removable display screen. Nice it flips forward, but that's extra weight to encase the PCB and lcd. So go a step further and make it removable, especially if there is a wearable remote interface. Fpv was not in mind. How is durability compared to the other cameras? I'm not suggesting you chuck it down your steps to find out
It does well in FPV. Durability? I don’t believe it would handle a hard crash as well as a GoPro. I have crashed all 3 cameras. In the review of all 3 cameras strapped to my Level… we’ll I dropped it on pavement from shoulder height (unintentionally) and all cameras survived.
How can I not getting this Ace Pro! I always been a big big GoPro fan, use it for all my videos. But I’m definitely getting a Ace Pro this time! And it is not much expensive than GoPro I think 😂Anyone else thinking there's just too much here to love? Ditching gopro hard this time lol
HCC !!! (Holey Crap Captain!!!) where do you find the time do such a comprehensive review!; no brainer as they say regards the overall performance of the Insta; are you going to demonstrate on a Drone / RC Plane / Inspire 2 (sorry, couldn't help that !!)
No 10 bit. The companie’s official word is that in their tests users never understand what 10 bit is or use it correctly because it involves filming in a flat setting and then editing the result in expensive software. There tests showed action cameras are for “point and shoot” people. I can tell you that I tried the 10 bit on the GoPro Hero 12 and it is useless unless the image was shot in really good lighting. Even then the results are minimal and not worth the time & effort in editing. Action cameras and cell phones are all just “point and shoot”, no matter what the marketing will have you believe.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I do my videos with gopro in 10 bit HDR. 10 bit recording only makes a real difference when mastering in HDR for HDR displays, but for that it's absolutely crucial, and the difference is night and day. I bought Gopro 11 for this reason alone, and I would have upgraded to Insta360 ACE PRO now if it supported 10 bit recording. Thank you for great video and for the information on 10 bit support!
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 You said: "It has the largest action cam sensors in its price range" Both the Insta360 and the DJI has 1/1.3" sensor All the other stuff you've mentioned doesn't change the fact that they have the same sensor size, so calming it has the "largest" is not accurate, that is all I was saying.
@@_-_null_-_I guess I’ll have to pull the sensors out of each action camera then and measure them vice just reading off paper the size :-). I can show a $50 drone with the same size sensor… does it then mean due to size the sensors are equal in quality? In other words are all sensors of the same size the same price and quality, and more importantly is the image created by the sensor the same size (width/height) as another sensor of the same size?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 What are you on about? I simply said that your claim, which I quoted, is not accurate, that's all. It is not "biggest" among price range (implying that the competition has smaller sensors), it is "as big". And you don't need to "pull out" any sensors, it is clearly says it in the specs, and you need 1 hard to count all the competitors to this one. I know that this is probably sponsored by Insta360 and you try to make this new toy sound like "the best new thing", but come on..
Thanks for the great video. How about battery life and overheating issues? Can we use ace pro as webcam? Can this camera keeps the horizon balanced automatically?
Horizon fix is shown n video (watch when I go through the 4 FOV modes). Battery life is shown in video… 100 minutes. It never overheated in any of my tests, however I don’t exactly live in Florida.
The camera is pretty darn good Steve, I was very impressed with it, I must say, I was surprised to hear you calling the foliage, foilage.😂😅 You reminded me of Marge Simpson from many years ago.
Some of those 'special effects' (AI) kinda look cool, but are very gimmicky imo and not something you'll be using much after you've tried them a couple of times. Other than that, I'm pretty impressed with the IQ of the Ace Pro; Instra360 is showing both Dji and Gopro how it's really done right! :-)
Excellent excellent video, you helped me make my mind up with whether to buy this one or the GoPro or the X3. This is the one for me. I am wondering if the Gimbal might be better for me than the stick though. Your video is the only one that truly hit on features that I was not aware of. I just bought myself and my wife a Armma Fireteam 6 RC cars and now I know how to begin making fun videos.
I always can count on your full reviews of products. You are superior over other creators. As you are more thorough and show the difference between the other product. Keep up your fabulous work Steve. ☃️❄️🎄✌️👊💪🇺🇸⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️
Great video, I’ve viewed it twice. Did you try to use your Apple Watch to operate it similar to the remote? On a side note, I’ve got to hand it to you; you maintain your civility pretty well when responding to some of the negative comments when I’m sure a bleep would be needed in-person while you’re typing it.
Hi Steve you did it again , I notice the Ace pro 8k has 1650 battery power and the Ace 6k has 1700 battery power ,which one do you recommend some one to buy thanks
There should be no such thing as an ACE PRO 8K or 6K, but rather only a 4K ACE PRO and a BASIC ACE (the basic ACE does not have the LEICA features/sensor).
Excellent review! I'm curious how the Ace Pro stacks up against the One RS 4K lens. Have both the Hero 12 and DJI 4 surpassed the One RS and now the Ace Pro surpasses them?
I'd say yes, simplly because the ACE PRO has an 8K sensor for its size, whereas the ONE RS 4K has the optional one inch sensor, but it is not 8K but rather 5K, which means it is limited in what it can achieve, but what it does achieve is very good.
I just wonder, have you tried increasing the ISO setting to 12800 on action 4? The lowlight image on action 4 looks pretty good on my computer with 12800 ISO, despite some noise. It's still acceptable considering the brightness. Also, I'm a bit confused now. The performance and brightness of action 4 in some parts is even worse than GoPro, but the previous footage showed the complete opposite - the differences between DJI and Insta360 were less noticeable. Both of them showed good lowlight performance in terms of brightness, noise, and details. Action 4 also held up very well against the Insta360, which is surprising to me considering there's no fancy chip in action 4.
The DJI action 4 is a good budget action camera. I’ve used it since it launched and my only complaint with it is that if I wear a red or orange shirt on a sunny day and film myself, I then get NOISE showing up in the shirt that kills the video. This is due to how DJI processes small sensor camera images.
I’m told (by insta360) that they considered it, but their research showed it was something less than half a percent of users understood or used because it requires processing the footage in expensive software that users don’t own. My advice to you is to think how often you would use such a feature? My background is photography (obviously) and the only cameras I use to shoot RUclips videos in 10 bit flat profile or higher all cost between $5000 and $10,000 US. The reason is because when you shoot in a flat profile you need to start with an excellent image with over 15 stops of light dynamic range so that you can then pull up the highlights, crush the blacks and color correct. Now think of the GOPRO HERO 12 image… it starts with an image filled with noise. This means on the GoPro that is 10 bit, you begin and end with Crap!
Oooppss, it is apprent you did not understand the response. The Camera has HDR, and a really good HDR. A phone is a terrible item to have a flat log profile and perhaps 1 person out of a million has tried to color correct using it once, then said "to hell with this crap, what a waste of time".
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 flat profiles allow you to better add different sources and then color grade. Ace Pro’s “HDR” is downsized to 8 bit limiting the color / shade representation which is very unfortunate. I hope they change that and allow real HDR HLG
Great video 👌 What if I want to livestream with the Insta360? Hdmi output? Livestream is; Connect via capture card hdmi, with external mic and charge input?
GoPro had hdmi out until version 8. Anyway, i hope Insta 360 ace pro will have some kind of good solution for streaming, as it looks to be a very good camera
Thanks Steve, AWESOME JOB!!! Yup, last March I bought a Canon XA50 and now it looks like I'm going to buy one of these too for work that's a little more........personal. 🙃 😅
I noticed you didn’t mention whether you paid for the Insta360. And by the sticker in the background I will assume that this was sponsored. By the way, kudos on the excellent video. I just received my DJI action four. I definitely think my next camera will be the Insta360 ace pro. This version or the next. My main use will be for Cycling. I abstained on this first camera purchase because of the flip screen. * I just noticed from your video that you don’t need to have the flip screen up to view your preview. Most other reviewers focus so much on having the flip screen up that I didn’t catch anyone talking about it working while it was in the down position. 🤦♂️
Glad you enjoyed the video. Also you may find these two videos of interest as they will answer your questions about products: Vid #1: ruclips.net/video/1C6b__HZAAc/видео.htmlsi=4jYfgJJhSfgNhfFx Vid #2: ruclips.net/video/c95tBIClzDg/видео.htmlsi=10rczFtrCZ2mWvlH
Scratch or break the lens and you have a very expensive paperweight.. apparently the production models lens covers are not replaceable, crazy decision for an action camera.
All I can say is that I am extremely rough on action cameras. I have to use them for every product review, so that is thousands of video reviews, and my cameras are often shown colliding with objects. The only time a lens cover was ever scratched (in the past 7 years) was when a GoPro fell off an RC car onto pavement while at high speed. So I know place action cameras less on high speed RC car reviews. As for FPV drone crashes, never an issue.
Wow reminds me so much of my go 3 😅 kinda if only I was made of money, the low light on the ace looks amazing! Thanks for the review/overview of the Ace
This is so far the best comparison review I've seen with the top cameras out there because i'm in the market for a new action cam. I'm reading through all the comments and it's really quite hilarious how the 'other fanboys' knock this 4 day old camera down so quickly because of what? really a couple of things that aren't super critical as opposed to the other 10+ features that makes this camera a game changer. The removable lens cover and it's not 10 bit seems to be deal breaker for a camera that shoots better quality videos especially in low light, has a much more advance engine inside, beautiful screen, 10x smoother screen operations then the GoPro who btw, has had years and years to perfect this but nope, still draggy ass screen on the 12, seriously?? The AI yah, it's gimmicky but just the same, pretty cool if you're doing a lot of social media content this is a plus. This isn't a professional actioncam?? Now that's funny, if you're using an action cam to shoot a Hollywood movie, you might want to look for another career. Yes, GoPros has been used to shoot some scenes in movies, but this camera out performs a GoPro, it's literally proven right in this review. Here's some of the game changing features you might want to rewind this review and others to consider, pause function, doesn't catch on fire while recording in hi res, AI editing features right in the camera, GPS sync with smartwatch, longer battery life, fast charging, gesture control, background downloading on app, recording cancel... the list goes on, but nope, can't remove the lens cover, forget it LOL, that's too funny. I own all three brands and I use to sell cameras for a living, this camera IS definitely a game changer, GoPro can learn from innovation instead of gouging it's customer based on it's name. If I had a choice of any future action camera purchases, it would either be Insta360 or DJI, although my DJI Action 2 has left a bad taste in my mouth lol, Insta360 is catching up fast to the big players so they better be very careful. Most of my friends have dropped GoPro, they are just fed up with the bs from that company with it's unreliable hardware anymore. The Insta360 X3 is simply a gorgeous camera, their app integration like DJI is so much more intuitive. Just remember that this is a 5 day old camera, I think with future firmware updates, it's just going to get better.
Great comparison. During the audio test when you were standing in front of a tree, i noticed that the video quality of your face is sharper in go pro and dji. The ace pro is softer (out of focus?) but the background is sharper. I even zoomed in on your face on all 3 tests just to make sure. I have the insta360 x3 and it does the same. Is it because its an action camera and its purpose is to shoot everything in focus except objects that are too near its lens? But overall, especially in low light, the ace pro is better that the two.
Ace Pro minimum focus distance is 20cm from what I have noted on YT. That's pretty close for a fixed focus camera. Fine for vlogging. It would be interesting to see how a face fills the screen at, say, 25cm, on all of the view angle settings. IMO Insta have raised the bar with this one and all of the other makers are going to have to go back to the drawing board!
All cameras were in whatever low light mode they offer for the low light scenes. As well for the sun, any camera that had HDR video, it was turned on. And finally for filming the Action 4 and Ace Pro were in 4K and the GoPro was in 5K.
Is it possible to choose one morphed imaged and have it remain the same the entire time you are filming. I find the constant changing of one morphed image to another every fraction of a second incredible annoying. So annoying in fact that I wouldn't use the morphing feature at all if you can't prevent the constant switching.
Hi, I just received my Ace Pro I bought for the purpose of night video. I want to use it for my grandson’s football game tonight. It is a well lighted field. Can you tell me what setting you used other then the pruevideo setting?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 can you choose variable video bitrate? GoPro cameras are lacking this feature. They all record with constant bitrate and take a lot of space on SD card. GoPro 8 firmware 2.51 has an option to select H.265 encoder and with resolution 1080p @ 30 or 24 fps it records with 30 Mbps instead of regular 60 Mbps but still it is constant bitrate and wastes a lot of space.
Great comparison thank you! I'm still going for the DJI Osmo Action 4. It suits my needs better for when I'm out hiking. I only film during day time and its smaller and lighter. Plus you can shoot in log. With the ACE Pro afaik you can only shoot in flat. And for some reason all the videos I watched about the Ace Pro. No one is shooting and showing how it does in flat. Which makes me suspicious lol
There is no flat profile in the Ace Pro. It is an 8 bit camera with a high end image sensor which is why it will always come out on top in any comparison. Log and 10 bit require that the image begins at a high quality level before the owner processes it in editing software like Final Cut Pro to achieve results. I do not own the new DJI Osmo so can’t comment on the image quality.
What about the Ace vs the Ace Pro? Would it blow the other two out of water too? I am looking for a camera to film myself while doing standup comedy. The low light performance does appeal to me so hoping the cheaper Ace will do reasonably well. Thoughts?
in the Insta360 ACE PRO, the user can remove the batteries when they are energye empy ?where to buy them ? are go pro accesories like a chest strap mount compatible ??? Anybody knows? thank you. and in the meanwhile for saving some money, is a the luosi action camera good for the money ?
The batteries last for 1.5 hours. You can easily remove and replace a battery in seconds. All accessories for the camera are sold on the insta360 store and AMAZON.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 agree it's not action cam but would love to see them fight it out! Sadly I also feel that despite me wanting this I will not use this much as action cam due to non replaceable lens guard, might continue use my go 3 for that. But the low light is too good to be missed

I'm loving those "amateur" eyes! Thanks!
Pretty much 90% of my review videos shot in 2024 were filmed on only an ACE PRO (I have a pile of them).
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I'm thinking like 2 to start for what I need.
Great! Thank you for sharing.
"what the heck happened?" I literally lol'd on this hahaha
One of the best reviews so far ....... detailed and to the point. Thank you
I appreciate that! Glad it was helpful.
Mind Blown !!!
I love how you explained it end you are having a lot of fun explaining it. Thx now I’m definitely going to order one 😊
Glad it was helpful! I have 3 Ace Pro cameras and use them to shoot my review videos.
Steve always has the best intros 😭
Wow! This looks amazing
Take my kidney, i want one!! 😮😮
Nice to see 3rd major player in the area, hopefully we will see better products from dji/gopro. Now we need someone to enter drone market :)
another exciting review video, thanks Captain!! The AI Warp looks super interesting and i love the "disappearing steve" game . Btw love your new beard look
Thank you!
Wow great video what a difference. Was in the market for one and now will not get the gopro
Mind boggling camera. Quick! A letter to Santa “I want this camera” 😂. A very good detail review of the product. Thanks 👍👍😀
Happy holidays!
Enjoy your new Ace Pro!
HCC !!! (Holey Crap Captain!!!) where do you find the time do such a comprehensive review!; no brainer as they say regards the overall performance of the Insta; are you going to demonstrate on a Drone / RC Plane / Inspire 2 (sorry, couldn't help that !!)
Fab video Steve, thank you 🙏 Does the camera shoot 10Bit video ? might have missed it in your review.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I think they have a good point.. off to buy one then 😊 all the best from the UK 🙏
9:10 the DJI Action 4 has the exact same sensor size
Not exactly. The shape is a bit different, as well as the pixel & color science.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 You said: "It has the largest action cam sensors in its price range"
Both the Insta360 and the DJI has 1/1.3" sensor
All the other stuff you've mentioned doesn't change the fact that they have the same sensor size, so calming it has the "largest" is not accurate, that is all I was saying.
@@_-_null_-_ I take it you have the dji? I actually like the sunny day image from the dji the best looking and over all it definately beat the GoPro.
Time to start coloring my hair blue & combing it straight up 😉
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Hahahaha, Nah, no need to go to extremes mate.
Great review❤. Havr you tested how it behaves on FPV drones Steve?
Yes. Works just like other action cameras, but in low light it works even better.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thank you
Some of those 'special effects' (AI) kinda look cool, but are very gimmicky imo and not something you'll be using much after you've tried them a couple of times. Other than that, I'm pretty impressed with the IQ of the Ace Pro; Instra360 is showing both Dji and Gopro how it's really done right! :-)
Can you map the gps? Can you scuba dive with the insta360watch?
Awesome review, very informative, thanks
Thank you
Excellent excellent video, you helped me make my mind up with whether to buy this one or the GoPro or the X3. This is the one for me. I am wondering if the Gimbal might be better for me than the stick though. Your video is the only one that truly hit on features that I was not aware of. I just bought myself and my wife a Armma Fireteam 6 RC cars and now I know how to begin making fun videos.
Glad I could help!
Wow, now i decided to buy this one someday. Just more savings. Thank you sir, your my hero.
Glad I could help!
Loud and clear sir Steve ... thanks for the effort! 🙏
Wow, the preview remote is cool.

Thank you! I did not try using it with my Apple Watch (just too busy).
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Okay thanks
Thank you for this - great overview - hopefully it will go on sale in Barrhaven soon!
Awesome review.
Thank you
Excellent review!
I agree with you and think something is really wrong on action 4...
Woah the Ai feature is amazing worth buying just for that feature
wow. I was JUST about to purchase an Action4... I wish the Ace pro was lighter for drone use, but it looks like I'll deal with it.
Camera Weight is fine for a 4” drone & higher

Please tell your Insta360 PR that they should add flat log 10-bit profile and HLG HDR profile!
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 if in a phone has hdr hlg or flat log, so can this camera
Oooppss, it is apprent you did not understand the response. The Camera has HDR, and a really good HDR. A phone is a terrible item to have a flat log profile and perhaps 1 person out of a million has tried to color correct using it once, then said "to hell with this crap, what a waste of time".
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 flat profiles allow you to better add different sources and then color grade. Ace Pro’s “HDR” is downsized to 8 bit limiting the color / shade representation which is very unfortunate. I hope they change that and allow real HDR HLG
@@ricarmigoh God, our school system has failed us 😂
Great video 👌 What if I want to livestream with the Insta360? Hdmi output? Livestream is; Connect via capture card hdmi, with external mic and charge input?
External mic yes. Livestream via USB C… unknown. Also… action cameras never have HDMI out.
GoPro had hdmi out until version 8. Anyway, i hope Insta 360 ace pro will have some kind of good solution for streaming, as it looks to be a very good camera
Thanks Steve! Awesome review good Sir!

Mind...blowing...!
may I know if you can record with no battery. Only attached the usb-c power cable just like dji and gopro. I want to use it as a dashcam.
Yes. It will run on external power.
AWESOME...
Beard Stong Steve! #keep the beard!
Ha ha, thanks. My wife gets the final word.
Will it work with a garmin watch? And is it backwards compatible to the older insta360 gps remote?
The answer to both questions is.... I honestly don't know.
Not gonna lie, im sold on these...
p.s. I know how much work these videos are - thanks
Thanks! You are correct, these comparison camera videos certainly take awhile to produce
i watched this on a large plasma in 4k and could clearly read the nnubers on the ace pro footage
Insta350 ace pro looks blurry at 7:10 compared to the other two.
It is simply because the camera is closer to my face than the other two cameras. Action cameras do not have a close range of focus.
Thanks Steve, AWESOME JOB!!! Yup, last March I bought a Canon XA50 and now it looks like I'm going to buy one of these too for work that's a little more........personal. 🙃 😅
Good choice!
Also you may find these two videos of interest as they will answer your questions about products:

Scratch or break the lens and you have a very expensive paperweight.. apparently the production models lens covers are not replaceable, crazy decision for an action camera.
All I can say is that I am extremely rough on action cameras. I have to use them for every product review, so that is thousands of video reviews, and my cameras are often shown colliding with objects. The only time a lens cover was ever scratched (in the past 7 years) was when a GoPro fell off an RC car onto pavement while at high speed. So I know place action cameras less on high speed RC car reviews. As for FPV drone crashes, never an issue.
Hi! Does this work from external power without the battery, like gopro to safe the weight? I know the battery is super heavy!
Yes, plug in USB C power
Wow reminds me so much of my go 3 😅 kinda if only I was made of money, the low light on the ace looks amazing! Thanks for the review/overview of the Ace
Great review but let's cut to the chase. Did you stick it on a drone?
Yes. Check out the FPV Drone vid.
Thanks, and your comments are an accurate observation of reality.
Very good quality video, bravo ! 🎉
Cameras have a different minimal focal distance. The GoPro and DJI were farther from my face on either side.
Was the Action 4 in its Low Light Mode?
All cameras were in whatever low light mode they offer for the low light scenes. As well for the sun, any camera that had HDR video, it was turned on. And finally for filming the Action 4 and Ace Pro were in 4K and the GoPro was in 5K.
Great review on this camera Steve, now I want one!
Thanks. This camera was used in all my product reviews created in the month of March. Very handy camera to have.
Is it possible to choose one morphed imaged and have it remain the same the entire time you are filming. I find the constant changing of one morphed image to another every fraction of a second incredible annoying. So annoying in fact that I wouldn't use the morphing feature at all if you can't prevent the constant switching.
Don’t know. I have not played with it enough.
Thanks, Steve. Based on this review I’ll probably get one.
Enjoy! It is pretty much an all in one action “point & shoot” camera
thanks a lot for clearly explaining the ai warp as no one didn't say how to use it
Glad it helped
Hi, I just received my Ace Pro I bought for the purpose of night video. I want to use it for my grandson’s football game tonight. It is a well lighted field. Can you tell me what setting you used other then the pruevideo setting?
For a night football game, you’d have to change the FOV and not swing the camera wildly. PUREVIEW or straight video at 30 FPS 4k would work fine.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 thank you I will try that tonight and see how it works, 🤞🏻. Thank you.
Does this camera stabilize footage like GoPro or you need to post process captured video on PC to have it stabilized?
The came stabilizes the footage

Thoughts?
The difference is the sensor, so my guess is the ACE has more of an image quality of a regular GOPRO
