Tihs happens to me almost everytime I reboot my computer and must start XAMPP again. Nothing works - except this one. Your solution works everytime. Thanks a lot for that.
Yea that happens to me too. and not even reboot my computer. it's enough to close the xampp and open it again. btw have a find a solution for that?
Any permanent solution perhaps? Happened to me second time in two days, it's annoying to do this every day...
@@thesoniccanvas for me. I backup the site and deleted the xampp. And re installed the xampp and restored the backupped files. worked

It is August 2, 2022, and yesterday night I was working late using Xampp on my computer, building a web app, and working with MySQL. But this morning, when I went back to work on the app, I could not start the MySQL server. The error reported on the control panel said something to the effect that MySQL had quit unexpectedly. Tips for anyone: make sure to close your XAMPP first, by end all task about XAMPP. Or you can simply restart your computer, do the step, and open XAMPP again.

omg this guy save my life, i have a final project presentation tomorrow and i have face this problem so many time but what i did is i reinstall my xampp, and even if i did a backup i still lost the data it says the data is not exist. but the night litteraly right now i encounter the same problem and started crying because i have to present my project this morning. and maybe god helps me by copy and paste the error and think video appear at first. thankyou god and thankyou for you.

This is not solving the problem because problem can comes from other source. I try this but when my express server connect the database, then the problem happen again and again.

An important warning: First all, this video is a great way to solve this problem. When I do this way, Xampp works well but I faced with another problem about "database connection". How can I solved this; I realised that my login information is deleted. You need to go to SQL admin panel and re-create the your login and password again. But it must be exacly same as before...

To avoid confusion when copying the data folder, it might be a good idea to make another backup somewhere else.
after I do that and tried to access admin it says "Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in C:\XXAMP\phpMyAdmin\libraries\classes\Session.php on line 204"

The bug doesn't make sense, you'll just need to delete all of its components except your actual db's and ibdata1, tf..
