    I agree, the ponytail is always youthful looking. I own the black leather jacket and leggings, I think we all have them by now. Reminds me of college. Great tips as always!!! 😘

    I loved all of the information - great content! But, I strongly disagree with the "cropped pants to show off your ankle" advice! I am short, 160cm, 5'3", and worse, I have a long-torso and short legs. Cropping my pants has the unfortunate effect of making me look even more disproportionate, dumpier, and fatter. Nope. When I wear pants I INVARIABLY wear wide leg or slightly flared pants (yes, even my jeans) that cover my foot to middle of the arch and all the way down to where the back of my shoe meets the shoe's heel. I gain two inches and drop ten pounds with that trick and I'm NOT giving it up!

      @Chicquette  Год назад +1

      Thank you for watching Linda. So interesting you mentioned your trick. It's exactly what I was describing in my previous video on how to elongate your legs. Most definitely for elongation you want to hide your ankles and create the monochromatic effect. But for a youthful look I find ankles to be very invigorating and attractive, mostly because they show off delicate feet. The cropped pants I recommend are more cigarette straight pants that are fitted and stop at the ankles. Have you tried something like this with black hosiery and black shoes?

      @@Chicquette I love the look, but I still think "looking taller and slimmer" beats "looking younger"! It's OK if people know I'm 70 years old.

    Love that you said "doesn't mean you're going to show skin, but your look will be flattering you". A lot of females I've seen shows alot of themselves. It is really better and mysterious when you can illuminate your body when covered and shows less, which makes guys really wanna see more. That's when you can know you're the bomb seeing him go the distance for you 😆.
    Thats how I met my wife, she still dresses the same swanky way. 💯

      @@Chicquette yes indeed sis imagination is key to a amazing connection, always gives that "first time" feeling.
      I'm way different from guys I know and listen too wen they speak, it's just me I won't change to be apart of no one's group. Ladies are and will always be most precious, they dress respectful not so much revealing yet have a mystique behind them..
      Than others.
      Less is more men are mental and visual creatures..
      You are awesome,
      you and my wife words and wardrobe are similar. Keep inspiring and continue being yourself.
      By the way Merry Christmas to you and the family.

    Hairstyle, clothes that flatter your figure, colours that work for your hair, eye, and skin tones are all things that work well for men, too. Facial hair is another way to adjust your age. I don't try to look younger in my own look, but men have the privilege of not being judged for being older :). Very interesting, as always, to hear this from the female perspective. thanks for sharing!

    • @Chicquette
      @Chicquette  Год назад +1

      Very interesting, how is facial hair impacting the age? Is it aging a lot? The only example I have is Prince Harry over the years and now with a beard he seems to look more mature.

    • @tophose999
      @tophose999 Год назад +1

      @@Chicquette It used to be that when you were 17 you grew a beard to try to look older (back when I was young) because only older people had facial hair at that time. These days, it's much more the younger people who seem to go for facial hair, so the joke is that if you want to look older, you shave! :). But the styles of facial hair are often different for older than for younger men.

    I've worn clothes that are too large most of my life. I only recently learned that. Some of it wasn't totally my fault. 5'2" in height, 120 lbs or less weight, and for much of my life petite sizes were rare and not terribly attractive/quality when available.

    • @Chicquette
      @Chicquette  Год назад +1

      Very good point you make. Petite dressing wasn't always available and for some it's not that obvious to look there for a better fit. I wouldn't look there and I'm 5'5" but when it was offered I tried and it fit so much better. I stopped buying "regular" and opt for "short" option for pants and tops and they require less tailoring. We just keep trying things on and get better and better at it. It's an ongoing process. Banana Republic and LL Beans offer short versions. Thank you for watching and sharing.

      I'm a 61yr old woman and only 4'10". When I was young, right up to my 30's and weighed under 100lb, I used to wear children's clothes quite a bit. Things like tracksuits and sports clothes. I even had a ski suit once. Marks and Spencers age 13-14 used to be perfect for me, and not everything was childish, it was plain colours.

      @@keithgriffiths9864 thank you for your comment. I have a male coworker who is 5'7" and shops at children's section because the clothes fit better. So kind of you to share. Most of us take it for granted that we can easily find what we need. It must be quite the journey for you. I applaud the encouragement you share. Have a wonderful day ☺️

    If one is trying to look younger, one is likely older, so the ponytail does what for a double chin or sagging neck?

    • @Chicquette
      @Chicquette  Год назад +1

      Yes, I hear your pain about the double chin. I think as we age it's there regardless of the weight. Even the skinny people have it. We already know to take pictures from a top angle to cover it right? 🫣 I didn't think about loose hair to serve the purpose of hiding the chin, I don't have enough to worry about that 😏. How about a pony tail and turtleneck? Have you tried ? I'm thinking about Diane Keaton in Something's Gotta Give. It looked great on her.
