Rest Peacefully Prince Phillip The Duke of Edinburgh, my condolences to The Queen and her family and all effected. Godspeed. 😔
Thanks, Squirrel. A laugh just when I needed it most.
RIP 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I am genuinely gutted about Prince Phillip. He was a good man.
Thanks Squirrel its a sad day, R.I.P Prince Philip 😢
We loved him for his gaffs, if you can find video about them.... they are legendary
Ronnie Barker is without doubt the greatest British comedy writer ever. The man was & will remain a comedic & linguistic genius because people never tire of being reminded of just how clever he was. I love that an American youtube channel & it's subscribers regularly watch these sketches in appreciation :)
Ronnie Barker was one of the greatest exponents of playing with the English language for humorous effect! 😁
R.I.P Prince Philip.
Now for some 4 Ronnie's Friday to cheer up the day.
I remember seeing this one when it was first shown back in the 70s! Still funny today.
Love the ending. This is the essence of comedy.....throwing in the unexpected.
My condolences to the Queen and to England. He certainly lived a long full life. I know you were loved by so many, and will be missed indeed
RIP 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
“Cunninglinguists” 😜😂😂
Great video as per usual, thank you. 🙏
My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on the loss of her dear husband.
They were masters of wordplay and so clever in their performances. Pure geniuses and comedy gold. Thanks for doing Four Ronnies Friday it brings a little light to the day. I am enjoying seeing these sketches again (now as a grown up back then as a child) and I guess more so today as the nation goes into mourning for the passing of Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh today. Weather people are royalists or not someone has lost a family member. The Queen must be bereft, bless her and those around her.
I love the two Ronnies that said however this is a copy of a earlier( obviously lol ) Benny Hill sketch
I must be one of the few who doesn't pretend to care about Prince Phillip.
I never knew him, he was 99 and lived a life of opulence.
My condolences to his wife and family though.
I am a Yorkshire lass and I’m glad you like our tea.Loving the two ronnies every Friday, used to watch these in the 70s when I was a teenager.
🤗
The Two Ronnies are loved by all, Comedy Genius's ...Ronnie Corbet lived not to far from me when i was a kid, used to see him being driven in his Rolls , probably on his way to work, and all you could see was the top of his head in the back seat .......Loved their shows
So freakin silly my belly hurt from laughing so much 😂🤣😹 ❤️§§
Thanks for the thoughtful words about the death of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. This may interest you, from a UK culture viewpoint. Once HRH's death was announced, the BBC cancelled all programmes for the rest of the day on its two main channels and replaced them with a rolling news hour showing the Prince's life and talking to various royal correspondents, people who knew him in some way and pundits. They did that within 15 minutes of the palace announcing the news, without any hesitation, even though it was the Masterchef 2021 final on BBC 1 tonight. All flags are at half-mast and all other news is relegated to a 5 minute slot once an hour. I remember there being the same response when Princess Diana died - and the same feeling of the nation stopping suddenly and going very quiet. Only royal deaths do this, or, in Winston Churchill's case at least, the occasional Prime Minister.
I don't think I've ever seen this, what a joy to watch. Thank you Squirrel such a good laugh. 😅
This was mid 70’s I think and tbh (text speak) they were way ahead of their time with this particular sketch ‘cause it’s basically text speak isn’t it, using single letters and the ‘sound’ of a letter in place of writing a word in full, “see you at eight” becomes cu@8 and L.O. is the perfect opening for a text conversation, “see you tonight’ becomes cu2night, little would’ve they known that 50 or so years down the line that people would be communicating like this 😊🇬🇧🇺🇸
Loved this, absolute genius 😁
Rest in peace Duke of Edinburgh.🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧
Glad to see you found some Yorkshire Tea!!! I'm guessing it was the normal one (red) and not Yorkshire Tea Gold. Both are very good though, so glad to see you're enjoying it. As for the video, I've not seen that Two Ronnies sketch in a long time, but it's genius!!! Haven't laughed so much since, well the last Two Ronnies video you did!!!
Check out " Ronnie Corbet monologues" if you can find any x
Yes!!! I was thinking of this the other day. His armchair stories that were iconic I assume you mean? They were genius and such a big part of the show!!!
Sometimes we laugh at the last joke, then catch the latest, then we aren't sure what we're laughing at. You demonstrated that. It's ok. It's normal ☺
Ronnie Barker wrote most of their stuff... he was a language and comedy genius. I don't think there is a comedy writer, at least not in English, that will ever get near him. Just the volume of sketches based on language is incredible
Thanks brother squirrel. Needed a laugh and you delivered 👍😉❤ ps everything from Yorkshire is great specially the tea
... and me.
Hey, Yorkshire tea... hello from Yorkshire!! Yes these guys were linguists, Ronnie Barker particularly.
I think you'd love Victor Borge if you love The 2 R N Es. He was very popular in the US (where I believe he emigrated during WWII) and a total legend in the UK for decades. My grandma was crazy about him and that must have rubbed off on me when I was little. He is hilarious.
got to see Victor Borge in concert. Great evening
Good guy Squirrel. You obviously appreciate good comedy, it's a pleasure watching you discover stuff I was watching in the seventies. Keep it up buddy. I'm in Scotland by the way. And you're the first tuber I've subbed to.
WELCOME TO THE SQUIRREL SQUAD TIM. Glad to have you man and I was told my whole life thy I’m mostly Italian. I found out later through multiple dna tests that I’m 56% English and 4% Italian. That’s where the interest started and I fell in love with it all. 😎🐿👊🏼
You really need to experience Spike Milligan 🤣🤣🤣
Try Irish Astronauts ❤️
👍🏻😎🐿
I love your reaction to The Two Ronnies!
Please include “Bold Sir John” in Four Ronnies Friday . Keep them coming!
I love 4 Ronnies Fridays too !
Two classic sketches - The Man Who Repeats Everything and Insurance Against Being Jewish, both hysterical!
😂😂😂I like the quottro Ronnie..I can see why you like the Two,quotro Ronnies and Four Ronnies,,,similar thinking and humour
I was about to make a comment about how it's actually Two Ronnies and not Four Ronnies... then I realised... d'oh!
Two Ronnies.
Four Candles.
2 X Two Ronnie's = 4 Ronnie's 🤣🤣🤣
It's all about the yorkshire tea gold!
Hehee. Knew you’d enjoy this one 😁 thanks for sharing 🤗
Hi score Richard here again glad you so much enjoy Ronnie Barker he has so many characters you wouldn't believe it and I think I've told you before he wrote most of the Two Ronnies himself under a pseudonym love the show keep up the good work you little anglophile friend of mine lots of love Jodie boy
This sketch immediately made me think of the Monty Python Finland sketch.
Loving 4 Ronnie's Friday. Thanks
Funny, although Sweden is a completely different country than Schweiz (Switzerland) or Bayern (Bavaria).
Is this where text speak came from on mobile (cell) phones.
Breaking news, here in UK. Sadly Duke of Edinburgh has passed away 🙏
Thanks Squirrel all the way from South Africa
Very funny. Since I know a little German, I may understand more than those who do not. Alternating with a German accent and one of them in the German lederhosen is a good change for the Swedish chef.
Mentioned it previously but Two Ronnies Round Of Drinks is also an excellent sketch
This Sketch was devised by Benny Hill and he is credited at the end of the Programme.
Yorkshire Tea is the best tea
YT, comes in different colour boxes, red, blue, green, gold.... they are different blends for different reasons, hard or soft water, decaff, and premium.
Aw, a loved the two Ronnie's
Indian cooking with Ronnie Barker is an absolute gem aswell!!
Hello Tony im David from Warrington in Cheshire in England 🇬🇧 Warrington is in between Manchester and Liverpool and in the North West of England I have been watching your RUclips videos an liked them very much so I am one of your subscribers, keep up the great content love seeing your reactions to the two Ronnie's I had forgotten how funny they really were an yes Ronnie Barker did most of the writing on the two ronnies show as well as other comedies he has appeared in especially the one where he's in prison which is called
I've never seen this one before, and you got it ,much better than me.
Ronnie Barker was a master of the English language, that's why most of his stuff works around "things that sound like that" and euphemisms. British English is one of the most hilarious languages for saying something without saying it, to wit - when we don't want to be rude but we know someone is gay, we'll talk around the subject "he knows his wallpaper" or, "he knows what's in his flower-beds"...and when we want to say a woman is pregnant, we'll say things like "she went to see the Priest" or, "she got the nine-month injury"..it's really funny how much we talk but try not to talk, and one of the funniest ones I've ever heard comes from Irish, "the answer was as silent as moon-light on a gravestone"..when you want to say, "they ain't talking"
They really we're the best squirrel 🐿️. No one has come near them since
Just love 4 Ronnies Friday 🐿️, brilliant mate and to be fair any you choose will be funny so thanks buddy ✌️🇺🇸✌️🇬🇧🍻🍻
Z is pronounced ZED in the UK, in the US it would be ZEE.
And in other countries, it's ZETA.
I had not seen that one, genius.
4 Ronnies ! last time i looked it was two ..unless your looking at there glasses!
You are great at this!!! 🤗
This was their finest hour
I highly recommend The Two Ronnies 'Opticians' sketch but it is on Dailymotion not RUclips it seems. So funny!
Yay Yorkshire Tea.
Try and find The two Ronnies at the opticians, or eye test. The original version is on the internet, I found it quite easily. Worth a look. Like a lot of people I was around and watched the original shows, they still make me laugh. Some comments will go over the heads of Americans as they won’t be familiar with regional accents or for things that happened in Britain when these shows were made.
Yes they were both cunning linguists. I'm glad you like tea it's a great taste.
Don't be too worried about running out of 2 Ronnie's, neither one of use will be around long enough to have to worry about that.
First text messages lol
Thank you so much for making me laugh and you’ve got the best tea ever I’m a Yorkshire lady so I would say that but it’s still the right choice Thank you 🙏 so much for your condolences it’s been such a sad day for us all loosing Prince Philip he was a great man and we’ll miss him so much I’ve been crying all day I can’t begin to imagine what our Queen 👸🏻 is going through they were married for 73yrs and engaged for a number of years before that she’s a strong Lady and with help from the rest of the family she will carry on so please keep making us laugh 😂 love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England UK 🇬🇧😂😂👌😘🙏💔
Two comic geniuses. Amazing, not like the rubbish we have today.
Yes, I’ve been looking forward to seeing you reacting to this!
You should check out “Clarke and Dawe” an Australian comedy duo. Hilarious.
🎉🎉🎉. Nice one Squirrel.
Tea is magic it will cure a crack in a wooden leg
The 2 R's were genius !
RUclips - "F.U.N.E.T?"
Squirrel - "I.F.T"
T 4 1?
I think the term you men to describe Ronnie Corbett is garden gnome.
Absolute genius!
You might want to take a look at this.
A Ronnie Barker parody of Patrick Moore who presented a monthly late evening astronomy programme called the 'Sky at Night' from 1957-2012 his death. Sir Patrick Moore became a national institution and would be what you would call s bit of an eccentric. Wikipedia will give full details on Sir Patrick, but here's the link to the clip of Roomie Barker's version of the Sky at Night.

Enjoy.
We will reconquer the World one teacup at a time, all the while distracting you with our comedy.?
I hope Two Ronnies-Irish Pub is a one you react to!
O. U. F. T. 🤣😂
Happy 4 Ronnie's Friday guys 🎉🍻
Brilliant
You should visit the tea plantation if you ever visit Yorkshire .
4 Ronnies Friday!
Very clever,!
That looks like some of the txt mssgs kids nowadays send each other, it's practically impossible to decipher when my neice txt me
LOL
If you like this kind of comedy you can try some clips from Allo Allo which was a British farce like sit-com set in war-time France. Basically it follows French restaurant owner Rene Artois as he tries to juggle being part of the French Resistance, hiding British airmen and helping the German occupiers whilst trying not to be shot by the French resistance and the Germans. It is very funny and I think you would like it. I will leave you link to a clip just to give you an idea.

What a punch line!
Hilarious.
Since you clearly enjoy word play so much, can I suggest some more programmes for you to watch. I recommend a program called Allo’ Allo’
which is set in world war 2 in German occupied France. The premise of the series is the activities of the resistance movements interaction with the Germans and the owner and staff of a local cafe-bar, with a sprinkling of British pilots attempting to return to Britain and in particular a police officer who is actually a secret agent who mangles his French pronouncing. Behind the scenes there are several plot lines going on, but I will let you find those for yourself.
I dont know how you are making tea but in the UK we ad a bit of milk a matter of how much only a small amount my be a egg cup, worth and a bit of sugar and try dipping a cookie in to it and eat it.
I am not sure if you do audio try Gerard Hoffnungg The Bricklayers Story
Yes Prime Minister is a political comedy series which has much truth and is very funny and quite frightening if you watch the episode about Britain's nuclear deterrent which i found very funny which goes to show what a bizarre world we live in.
I liked the punch line.
I drink decaffeinated Yorkshire tea Tony
Hola. now you know another Spanish word. enjoy your T
We all miss them.
You could use that as a code
The Two Ronnies: Dumbing down television, right back when everybody was dumb as S.H.1.T. to start with.
Jaw-achingly tedious.
Check out 'NTNON: The Two Ninnies' - much better!
...and the parody really got Ronnie Barker out of his frickin' pram. Priceless!
Check out the Two Ronnies 'Sheikh in a supermarket'. It won't disappoint.
Think I did that one. The clip I found was labeled Arab in a market. Maybe different I’ll look
I think there is another British invasion going on in the U.S.A. except this time, instead of war or music, it's comedy.
R.I.P Prince Philip. You will be missed
