- I thank you for checking out this video, Im just your average guy having Fun with tools. I test tools out to see what these tools can do, and what they can't do. Please Subscribe to the channel and get that tool fix here. Have a great day!
I’ll take 3 of those Makita bit sets over one of the Hilti sets all day everyday...
I would as well. the price for the quality is so much better
I think a better way to test and to “destroy” these driver bits would be to put the heads in a vise and use a torque gauge to see how much torque it takes to break them. This would provide figures on how much torque they can withstand, and it would also be a more realistic test, since these bits tend to fail far more often from the impact forces than from the fatigue fractures caused by anyone intentionally camming them out.
not a bad idea and thank you Perennial
I definitely agree. Maybe use an electronic torque measuring tool 🤷♂️
@@skycorrigan6511 that's not how you use them tho they're designed for impact
You really can't beat the quality and price of the Makita XPS. The Hilti set is definitely a luxury and very cool to own, but not very practical. Having said that, I picked up the Hilti set too lol
Very good. they are both great bit sets
Damn dude! Savage! This takes "testing to failure" to another level!
I thank you brad :)
Your channel gets better every video🤣🤣💪
I thank you Hotmale
Hell yea awesome video! I just picked up the XP’s too, but the bit holder has a ring in addition to the magnet to hold the bit in.
very good and thank you for viewing Bill
The Hilti Bits are made by WERA so you can buy Wera Bits and your fine ( Wera bits are very good by the way)
Thank you for the input Boanerges
Cool upload! I like those makita bits. 30 dollars is not bad at all for that set!
not bad at all and thank you Matthew
Yea , " the makita bit set is all the craze right now " Thye hilti driver is his favorite and as clean as his hands
its called washing your hands. and I keep certain tools clean as well
yea right
There is a discrepancy on this test due to the number of power tools used - difference in RPM. The lower RPM, the sooner it'll bite on the screw, which will then reduce the likelihood of ruining the bits (Hilti's 2500 RPM vs Makita's 2600 RPM). On both screws, the Makita took longer to bite and drive the screw. Additionally, pressured applied during driving of the screws will affect how quicker the bits will bite on the screw.

Nice! Hey you should try the Norske impact bits against these ones. Norske makes some of the most incredible bits I’ve ever used and ive used about all of the brands. 🍻🍻
will do and thank you Benjamin
Great video!!! Love the new Makita bits. Nothing in its class.....
Thank you mr bates
Old makita bit was horrible new one looks good. I used to use Bosch impact tough for many years very impressive recently just use milwaukee bit wasn't too bad. Now it is time to get new makita bit set would say.
I am impressed with the new makita bits and thank you William :)
That was awesome,,,, kinda painful to watch nice bits destroyed, but awesome!
Thank you Rafael
Great content! You could see that Hilty light up!
yes you can and I thank you Kieth
Thanks for making awesome content!
I thank you again sir
Great video Dave, you should get a p.o. box and have viewer's send in there old tools for you to destroy that would get you subs. Have a champion and of course Viewer Challenger's the ones they send to you. Say you think your drill can beat my champ send it. Just an idea use it or not. Your channel. Thanks Hollowpoint Jim.
that's not a bad idea at and thank you Hollow :)
for a third of the price, makita wins hands down.
I 100% agree
Malit’s doesn’t have a lifetime warranty like hilti
great video bro.
Thank you Patrick
Awesome video
I thank you Omar
I’m new to the whole tools way lol and I got the makita set may have a black coating... but I can’t get the bit out ! Is there a trick bc the magnet won’t let get it out?
try to slide the black part forward then take the bit out while the black part is pushed forward
But what are your favorite bits that you have
now they are makita :)
The Hilti, at 3 times the price didn’t outperform the Makita? WOW!
I feel screwed, and I Subbed + smashed
I thank you for your support Bigfoot
What are your thoughts on the makita bits I have the Milwaukee gen 3 and it eats through Milwaukee bits and was thinking about upgrading
I have the Milwaukee drill bits and bit sets and I had similar issues with the drill bits snapping on the first use.Brand new bit and it snapped drilling into soft metal.I have broken several of them. The bits not so much but I'm a plumber not a carpenter. You can write a complaint to Milwaukee and they will replace the broken bits.
I think the makita bits are awesome and very well worth the price.
A didn't know that the bits would melt like that lol
lol, now you do and thank you Mic
Hilti No1
Very good and I thank you Miki
Are the Makita xps better than Milwaukee shockwave?
The XPS bits are a beast
I suspect this will be a good video
I hope it is lol
Anyone know why the xps bits are hard to find? I’m in Canada and literally no stores carry them.
Thier actually driver bits not drill bits lol nice tho I need some seen them on vcg
I know and thank you Mic
Wats up guys nothing like getting your drink on on a Wednesday hahaha
lol and thank you Jace
Haha name is nick my email is jace
Anyway Hilti doesn't deserve 3 times more money
kits cost a lot but the tools aren't that much more expensive than the other brands
You can buy 3 cases of Makita bits versus 1 hilti
yes you can so Makita won this test all the way around
agha and then agha after i got the agha... FFS cool vid other than that!
this is a very old video
Only the price are different.
I am still believe mikita better ,you kept makita spin more on head of screw
the makita Brushless 12v are coming soon to the channel
Your hand shakes more with Hilti tool. Why
not sure, it might have to do with the wood
... in till yesterday I did not see a ph2 snapped like was cut with a grinder. I had pz2 a lot but never ph . The screwing was in 2x2 mm still stud
... I don't know if you have a piece on metal like that to see if you're bits are doing the job. I always believe that the merchandise from US is better quality than the rest of the world.
now you saw it melt lol
... no matter what quality you have if you are doing what you are doing will melt with no doubt.
Snapping is a different story has to go from stationary position and because the metal from the bits is not hardened properly it's just give up.
😁
I thank you Mic
I clicked on the video because the title stated "Drill Bits," and it turns out they are "Drive Bits" and not DRILL BITS. You should consider changing the title of your video with the correct/proper terminology. It makes one question your credentials.
my bad on that. ill change that right now. im sorry
How much you wanna bet this dude works in a office or indoors and not in a blizzard on scaffolding 35ft up , were good bits are the ones that are in your impact not in a heated garage
I used to work in new construction years ago before the market crashed. I changed my profession since then. im almost 40 so yes I do have 5 years of experience on the construction site
shit hurts to watch 😭🤣
