Welcome to my HD Picture in-Picture English Gameplay Walkthrough of Yo-Kai Watch for the Nintendo 3DS! Throughout this series, I'll be guiding viewers through the game, collecting and befriending as many Yo-kai as possible! Get the game and play along with me!

In Yo-Kai Watch, you must explore the in-game world to discover more than 200 Yo-kai, each with unique skills, strengths and personalities. These spooky, sometimes cute and usually mischievous Yo-Kai secretly inhabit our world and it's your job to find and befriend them! Just don't be surprised if strange things start happening once you locate them!
After selling millions and being a cultural phenomenon in Japan, Yo-Kai Watch is coming to the United States for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Yo-Kai are not ghosts, monsters or creatures. Yo-kai are, quite simply, Yo-kai. They cannot be seen by the human eye, but they are everywhere. Whether born from the soul of a deceased human, or an everyday object discovering its higher purpose, their personalities are distinctly humanlike.
Choose to play as Nate or Katie and with the power of the Yo-kai watch, find and befriend more than 200 hidden Yo-kai, found everywhere in the world, and call upon their powers when you need their help.
Assemble a team of six Yo-kai in your watch to defeat evil and help people. Each Yo-kai has its own unique skills and strengths, so use strategy to assemble your team to address different problems and fight different evil Yo-kai.
Make your Yo-kai Watch more powerful so you can see higher-ranking Yo-kai and upgrade your Yo-kai as you play through the story. Use the touch-screen in battle to initiate Soultimate moves, purify inspirited Yo-kai and give your Yo-kai food, beverages and medicine to heal them. Challenge your friends to a local wireless Yo-kai battle!
Collect physical medal toys that all have QR Code patterns on the back and can be scanned into the game and exchanged at the in-game post office for an in-game coin. In-game coins can be used at the Crank-a-Kai to have a chance of getting rare Yo-kai or a helpful item!

I've played the game for years, and I have 300 hours with level 99 yokai, all the yokai spots found, and 92% medallium with all but 1 legendary and rares. Not to brag but...
Hi abdallah I will tell you that the digimon game for the DS has a digimon that has the same coloring and almost looks like kyubi also the name is kyubimon.For real!And snartle and shogunyan's soultimate attacks are the same in blade movement or slicing direction
Did you rub the golden egg at the train station and put a $1.00 in the box at Wildwood shrine. You do it for about 20 days then something happens.:)

Just a request but you should make a tips and tricks on how to get 5 star coins because im also trying to get all the yo Kai in the game but I'm not lucky enough if you do I would really appreciate it 😄
When I typed the code that gives you the bottle trophy, for some reason I never got the trophy

Did you know that the trophies reference different kinds of yo-kai
The trophy room is In ground pond Park on the bridge To to the White thing find the two trees and you will find a. doorr the boom Trophy room
are the UK codes different cos none of these work for me

Me whose data got corrupted after going back to revisit Yo-kai watch and has to restart: how the actual heck did you read my mind 4 years in the freaking future
It's interesting because my original cartridge got corrupted as well. I had to go out and by a new copy (luckily it was very cheap).
@@thequincy_ I guess I was lucky only my data got corrupted not the physical cartridge and at this point I've replayed through the whole game and even finished the infinite inferno and did a bunch of other stuff so I think it was just a one time issue with my original save file also kinda funny since I have a way better understanding of the game and all its mechanics since I've been a yo-kai watch fan for a very long time so I did more than I ever accomplished on my original play through in less than a quarter of the time lol
@@thatoneguyontheinternet9765 Indeed, haha. Yo-kai Watch 1 seems to progress at a far faster pace than what I remember from over 5 years ago. I believe the game is only 20 hours if you non-stop play (about two sessions or so for the main story). Yo-kai Watch 2 is quite a bit longer. Essentially as you progress from games 1-4 the games get longer. I haven't played 3 or 4. 4 isn't region locked so I might pick up a copy for my PS5 or Switch. But for 3 it may be very difficult to obtain a physical copy.
@@thequincy_ Yep I practically 100% the game in a little over 20 hours however actually catching all the bugs and fish is another thing and some of those rare yo-kai are stretching rare to practically impossible I'll probably go back and 100% one of these days also i've decided to replay through yo-kai watch 2 after finishing up even just a few early chapters its very obvious the many many improvements over the first game the first one is special to me and is the start of the franchise but dang you'd be a fool to say its better than the second some of my favorite changes are just quality of life like being able to sprint on the bike and random stuff like that also some of the new yo-kai were pretty dang cool also yo-kai watch 2 has practically all of the content from the first game which is kinda rediculous and amazing and yeah the second one has way more content than the original and with practically all the originals content stacked on top of that its very very impressive its a shame yo-kai watch 2 sorta went under the radar it did well but nothing like what it deserved for this impressive a game also I plan on picking up the third pretty soon it also basically does the same as the second and takes both 1 & 2's content and piles it onto yo-kai watch 3's content yo-kai watch is slightly switching gears with 4 so I feel its fair to call the original three classic yo-kai watch games even if their not all that old three has a slightly different battle system with the circle being sealed for a grid but its more or less the same with some more strategy thrown in four just flat out swapped everything though excited to see where the series goes next a little disappointed it's likely you oak watch games won't get localized anymore though
@@thatoneguyontheinternet9765 Well it was announced in 2019 that Yo-kai Watch 4 is supposed to be getting a localization. By now it is most likely is finished. Yo-kai Watch 2 is probably my favorite entry by far (simply because it is the most recent entry I have played, as well as me truly enjoying it heavily.

Thank you. I have been trying to find out what the locked room is. Now it makes sense why the boy says "I smell something shiny" even before you get any trophies. He somehow smells goldenyan? It doesn't make sense how he smells him but that show that the company that made this game which is probably Nintendo but I'm not sure is hinting at the locked room and there Is probably something inside. Just thank you.

I am so close to giving up on Goldenyan
Ive put in about 70. Thats the problem with the Crank a Kai RNG. Because of the way it works you could literally put in hundreds of coins and still not get it. I have terrible Crank a Kai luck and I just used (NO JOKE) 300+ coins to get Damona

I'm on Chapter 10, and the game so far has been a breeze (aside from Massiface) because I got a Sir Berus from Krank-a-Kai very early on.
I regret using the Holy EXP Orb on Sir Berus alreadu

I think the names of the trophies are meant to relate to the Yo-criminal who gives you the password.

Heyo, replaying this game in 2024 and I put in the code for the "Sack Trophy" at 27:24 but it came up as "Owl Trophy", so I'm assuming they changed it back then. Just a heads up for those playing this game around this time cuz I did get the corresponding item as well this case being the Beef Bell.
