- Leaned a little more toward the noisy side today! In most of the jams I've posted this week I've been using individual components of the Benjolin for various purposes, but I decided to let it do it's thing more cohesively. This jam starts with the oscillators tuned in a way I liked and the Benjolin filter wide open, then run through the MCF in series (high pass and then low pass for that variable width band pass business), and all then to uBurst for reverb and eventual granular glitchy goodness. For some added modulation, I have QARV channels 1 and 4 in slow cycling state, with the rise gates triggering RND STEP channels that are sampling the triangle outs of the Benjolin. These random sampled voltages are then put through QARV channels 2 and 3 for slewing, which are then used to cross modulate the fall times of channels 1 and 4. I'm using the Rungler to affect the onboard Benjolin filter as well as the oscillator frequencies, but also using those triggered random voltages from RND STEP to FM the oscillators. QARV channels 1 and 4 are used to modulate the MCF filters, and the falling gates from those channels are also put through some AND and XOR logic to derive some less frequent gates that freeze and re-pitch the uBurst, while the unipolar random voltages from RND STEP affect the texture, size and position of the grains. With all that chaotic business I was mostly able to set it up and walk away, which is always a good time!
I've got a feeling I'll be doing something a bit more "musical" tomorrow : )
Lovely patch and system! I really enjoy seeing all of the ways that you're making use of the Benjolin in these jams 😁
Thank you! Well shoot, now I’m tempted to keep going with this system for the full 31 days 😂
@audnaaudionics7685 Follow your heart! Looking forward to following along wherever it goes 😁
