Nice job brother! Hey Ian , question; Did you ever try a brass wire cable? I have , and there is really something to the sound. I read quite a lot of remarks about brass, harsh sound and what not. Imo it can have quite a 'romantic' sound. So , if you havent, and have some spare parts , try it, at least just for kicks haha
@@tweakerman my girlfriend found it had a 'candlelight' -sound, and I had to agree with her. But maybe it just better matched on these speakers? I have no clue. I switched from silver filled to brass. Sf has nice clarity in the top end, brass had a different bump , a bit lower in the spectrum, I think-> by ear. Didn't measure it this time.
You want the digital to sound better get a cat 5 cable 120 ohms, just use one pair don't use more than that, you can use the drain wire if it's a three pin connector. just solder it to the RCA plug the one pair only, otherwise you change its resistance each wire is 60 ohms. Use that from digital to digital not to analogue. Great from a CD player coaxial using as a transport to a da converter. Get yourself a Michael fidler phono stage 600£ get the mm Pro! I think the MC is very good. but and i am using a step up transformer. at some stage probably get the MC Pro.
There are no compromises in your hobby. Only the best parts 👍

after i bought the pontus 15th, i also prefer digital compared to analogue.
Is this used within a digital setup.
