Pooja Bhatt dismisses 'conspiracy theories' about Saif Ali Khan's 'quick recovery'
Actor-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt came to Saif Ali Khan's defence after a section of people circulated conspiracy theories about the latter's 'walk out of the hospital' and his quick recovery.
Actor Pooja Bhatt lashed out at trolls spreading conspiracy theories about a hale and hearty Saif Ali Khan walking out of the hospital six days after getting stabbed with a knife by an intruder at his house. In an interview recently, the 52-year-old actor reacted to those calling Saif's quick recovery after the attack quite fishy.
While speaking to ETimes, Pooja shared how the actor should be 'applauded' instead of being mocked or trolled for the way he handled the traumatic incident. The popular filmmaker-actor talked about the visuals which showed Saif walking out of the hospital with a cast on his left hand, and how that led to people speculating.
Pooja said, "The graphic details of the stabbing that emerged in the media painted an image in people’s heads about Saif's physical state. That image was perhaps not in sync with the visuals of seeing him walk out of hospital on his own two feet."
She added that Saif has shown immense courage and set an example for others to follow. Pooja mentioned that those who are speculating now are the same people who appreciated Saif for walking into the hospital on the night of the attack.
She added, "But don't these very people forget that they lauded him for walking himself into the hospital as well? A man who checks himself into hospital in a wounded, traumatised condition surely has the grit to walk out of the hospital on his own. We should be applauding this instead of resorting to being conspiracy theorists."

Pooja's statements came hours after a Shiv Sena MP (Member of Parliament) questioned Saif's quick recovery after the attack. In his interview with the news agency ANI, Sanjay Nirupam cited 'Mumbai citizens' with questions about Saif's attack, and urged the actor's family to 'disclose the details of the incident'.
He said Saif was 'jumping and dancing' when he got discharged from the hospital: "Mumbai citizens and I had some innocent questions that I have raised. Has the medical sector progressed so much that Saif Ali Khan comes to his home jumping and dancing (after the attack)."
Nirupam went on, "It should be revealed how deadly the attack was and how badly he was injured. The family should come forward and disclose this because, after this incident, such an atmosphere was created in Mumbai that the law and order of Mumbai has collapsed, the Home Ministry has failed, the Maharashtra government has been ruined, and every citizen in Mumbai is unsafe."
He also mentioned the doctors who treated Saif, and said, "I want to ask the doctors, can a person whose operation lasted for six hours come out in such good shape within 4 days?"
Saif was stabbed around six times by an intruder who entered his house last week to attempt burglary. The actor fought him back and suffered deep injuries. He rushed to the hospital himself and underwent two surgeries. The 54-year-old actor was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday this week.
