You don't know what you have until it is really gone. Sadness eats away at everyone who has lost someone that they still love. But, to overcome and to become yourself again, it takes time. Time heals all things broken.
Not to be a cynical ass but I really liked the ending to this video, they didn't magically end up in each others arms. They still had these feelings but neither will know the full extent, it's real and real life has been known to suck at times.

This video is very deep. It uses mise en scene throughout the film of facial expressions, such as how he would hide his face and stare blankly when sending them to her, when really he was going crazy about her. It also chooses parts of his life - all which is when he was thinking about her; this which is selection of film chosen. It also shows his map - which represents how he was sick of his home town and how he wanted to escape, while still loving her. They didn't show each-other their feelings actually, besides through polaroids (omgz sah cute). There was also pizza parties is certain scenes of them both (1:34 & 3:67). They also have lots of friends.

To me, this song is about a guy wanting to tell a girl he loves/likes her but he's to scared to do it, he's also scared of waiting since that may lead to the girl finding another guy. The ending of the video showed that she probably liked him too.
I think that's a more optimistic way to look at it, seeing as how everyone dedicates this to their ex while they're bitter.
