Even though he survived that turn, it was still a scary moment considering his accuracy got lowered by the sand attack. So the next turn still had a chance to end the run

I remember one time a geodude survived an attack and it didn't even have sturdy, was insulting

If the Geodude has sturdy but your attack does enough damage to leave it at 1 HP normally, it won't show you it has sturdy, so if u were really unlucky, maybe that happened lol
I often just assume rock type Pokemon can have sturdy unless I know for a fact they can't
Plot twist:he misses due to sand attack and then gets hit
Wait what is the conditions, I see all his Pokémon have 1 HP but why would it be a run reset? Is it like, Ultimate Nuzlocke where no one is even allowed to die?
It's not really that he has to reset the entire run, but he made his own rule where he can only save after gym battles. So if he gets hit at all (since he's now doing a no damage challenge instead of just a 1hp challenge) then he would have to reset all the way back to the previous gym.
No damage, not even a single cell of injury
Beating Pokémon black 2 without taking any damage
He can only save when he beats a gym, if he takes any damage he has to go back to the last gym save
He spends hours grinding so that he is certain he can beat a gym without taking damage
And this is before the first gym, so OSHA fainting would mean he has to restart entirely

he has such a bad habit of nearly killing runs.... when fighting skyla he sent in haxorus too early and we all FREAKED OUT because he'd been grinding for like.... many hours

It's times like this that make me wonder if my made up ability "Hard Body" would be overpowered.
Hard Body makes it so that pokemon can only be knocked out if their health is in red. If their health is above red then attacks that would normally one hit will just bring it down to 1 hp. And this ability is always active, meaning if it heals above red then you can't KO it anymore unless you get it back down to red.
Yes it would, it would be a very OP and just broken ability, any healing move would just stall any momentum of a battle, leech seed would make a pokemon undefeatable.
A shedninja with 1 HP would never take damage, since it's HP would always be in the green.
Needless to say spamming healing items would just be abused and make a match unwinnable

@@mr.slappii513 Still broken. In singles, use pivot moves like Baton Pass or Volt Switch or U-Turn to cheat them out after the opponent has already used an attack turn 1. Or pivot into a resistance/immunity in general. Then protect turn 2 and have leftovers. You're basically unkillable except to weather effects, poison, burn or multi-hits. (Or pokemon that ignore abilities of course.) Plus in doubles you could use RagePowder + Protect + Skill Swap strats to get Hard Body on a pokemon like Shedinja or Ingrain Cradily or Slaking with Leftovers so it not only has monstrous health and sustain it no longer has the Slack Off ability and has legendary-tier stat spread. And these are just the ideas my own inexperienced VGC brain could think of. Who knows what the actual competitive players could think of.
@@xEmpress95 I came up with a new version of Hard Body that is way more balanced.
Basically Hard body now makes it so that the Pokémon with hard body never takes more than half their health in damage. So moves that would normally one hit would only deal half. Obviously this would still be an annoying ability to fight but not nearly as broken as the original.
@@mr.slappii513 I would you rather say all damage is ×.25 at that point [most type resist] with a sturdy clause
Not being able to take any more then half per hit doesn't balance it out because leftovers and protect makes that a 3 hit ko AT LEAST
And that's not even talking about healing it with other moves or prep

@@derpsalot6853 Sturdy will activate as long as a Pokémon has full HP before the attack. So therefore he'll either have to take damage for it to work, or he'll get hit and die on 1hp. It doesn't work.

Torrent activates when the HP is below a certain percentage. 1/1 is 100%, so it never activates.

this is unrelated but i need help to beat thunderblight in botw in his third form i can defeat the first form by flurry and parry the second form by putting a steel bar up to his face but then on the third form iam having trouble espeically when he attacks with his electrified shield
