Unfortunately, special education credentialing still does not provide adequate teaching of how children learn to read, how to teach it, and how we can help those in need of remediation. Thank you, Dr. Moats, for all the work you have done. I have learned so much from you and your published works. I went back for my masters in education psychology to study more about reading in the mind and how I can better teach students in need. I am not a special education teacher, I teach privately for families who have children who need help with reading.
