I had the opportunity to visit this wonderful Museum on May 2022, it was a unique experience. I pretty much took pictures of everything but the dogtags. I felt I had to respect that area. It is a big museum in my opinion. I got souvenirs and I loved how in the entrance theres a statue of an airman holding a backpack while reading a letter he received.

Glad to see things are still going there at the Hill Museum. I home they continue for years to come. I was an active duty volunteer myself from 2004 to 2006 working Sundays. I watched the OV-10 Bronco being restored before I had to stop working there. I still have my hat and history book too. I miss the place to be sure. I really had fun during the open cockpit weekends that supported the food drives and such.

Why do you think it is necessary to inflict that "music" onto the viewers? Yes, I muted it, though I would prefer a description of the exhibits being presented.

This place makes living anywhere nearby miserable. Sounds like a warzone non stop. Ear piercing sonic boom. Zero respect or thought for the densely populated residential areas.

well it wasn’t the governments plan. hill afb was placed perfectly on the terrain and weather conditions. real estate and home owner companies just defied to move houses there for some reason. you will notice it is surrounded by mostly restaurants and stores and bust highways only with a few housing industries around the end of the runway and the beginning

also sonic boom flights are illegal at that altitude

Ground breaking for the AFB was mid 1940. Most houses weren't built till after 1950. Most for military personnel during that time. Don't complain about the base if you willingly chose to live near it when it's older than most people today.
