Ok so I know it doesn’t look great but remember that just a few years ago, we were getting mobile ports of console games that were nowhere near the originals. Different games entirely. Now we can actually carry these full games in our pocket
I heard in another video that there is popup issues. That's what I would possibly have issues with. My last much played rally games were Sega Rally on the Saturn and Colin Mcrae Rally 2 for the PC... I think I can live with these graphics on a handheld. You people are demanding:P
bought the game. I can't say I recommend it. the switch simply isn't really designed for sim racing, the joy con triggers don't have variable controls so it's either stop or go. couldn't find a setting to use the accelerometer so you're stuck using the joysticks for steering. if you get the game get it for pc, Xbox or ps where it's actually playable and you can get a steering wheel, handbrake and shift knob
what if using the nintendo switch pro controller to play this game? with the better triggers for acceleration and brake will it make the game much more playable?
@@Prof.Mokster57 yep I think it will, I don't have a pro controller but if it has variable triggers that will greatly improve the control style if the game. as of now all we have is stop and go for speed
Just recently bought a switch and with low on money this and kirby were the first games i bought. I do like WRC I think it's a great game but holy the crap I cannot keep the car straight for anything I cannot go around any corner without flying off the edges and having 96% red on everything always being last by a 2 - 5 minutes late. This is one of hardest games I have ever played and I'm playing on the easiest difficulty. Just a slight jolt to left or right and I'm drifting all over the place. breaks just makes it worse for me better to slow down.
It is just the game doesn’t run properly on Switch. This game offers details and contents that not many rally games can rival it. Rush Rally 3 runs amazing on Switch but it is still more of an arcade racer. The sound effects and atmosphere in WRC 9 is just so much better. Still with this being said Rush Rally 3 is still one of the best racing game on Switch. Yeah it has PSP graphics but the game runs great on perfect frame rate and game difficulty is mostly fair and fun. With WRC 9 the only thing you want to go for is its realism. However your journey isn’t going to be too happy with all these graphic issues.
I have it now downloading on my switch (just 4 days after i bought it) saw it 5€ and couldn't hesitate to buy the game. Im now checking it on youtube and based on the video and what the comments say, i am a little disappointed. I still hope I won't regret buying it
@@pabllo2004 Pick up your android phone, Search on play store Rush Rally 3. it looks and runs better physics are better as well actually it's the only decent racing game let alone a rally game on mobile lmao the devs are amazing
I hope that games are held legally responsible for excessive advertising as well. Even for Nintendo Switch games, screenshots and trailers should not be allowed to misrepresent the PC version or other console versions.
@MadCow74 Both the Cantera stages were by far the worse on WRC 8 but the whole rally has issues with framerate. Glad they finally fixed them, might have to double dip on WRC 9 as well.
This game actually looks decent... and it actually looks BETTER than GRID: AutoSport... I really want this game, but it's $60 in my country... That sucks
How do you play this on switch???? Mine is so incredibly sensitive it's unplayable. I've tried different control settings and nothing works. Help, please!
The WRC games are quite difficult to play on Switch due to the controllers. You can only try to get used to the sensitive controls (I had to practice a lot before I was able to record this video) or try this game on another console (if you have one).
They still haven't improved the graphics on Switch. WRC8 looked awful on it. This looks just as bad. There is no need for this game when Grid and Need For Speed look amazing.
@@DauntlessDamian I don't like rally games enough to put up with terrible graphics and framerate. Hopefully one day they port Dirt to the Switch. But for now, this lazy effort is a hard pass for me.
I love seeing the armchair developers claim that every poor looking and working game on the switch is a "lazy port". or the developers simply "do not care". Another one is the game was released simply as a "cash grab". This is a false narrative. you cant compare ports vs ports. Its way more complicated than "but need for speed looks a lot better than this". A game like this is developed for the already anemic 8 core jaguar consoles with all the nips and tucks already being utilized. When moving it over to the switch there are very few options left on the table. Some engines like Id tech (doom) work better on the switch because they are designed for gigantic scaling differentials on PC. Had WRC designed this game specifically for the switch (not cross platform) the game would no doubt look and work better.
Just as expected, exactly the same as WRC 8, extreme pop in, bad graphics like a PS2 game, poor framerate and all that sh*t i hated on the first game. So many months to port it and the final result is such a crap. I will pass it.
V Rally does look better on switch than both WRC games. Unfortunately the handling and stability of the Rally cars in V Rally is rough as they're super bouncy and feel weightless. I like the handling and feel of the cars in the WRC games more but wish they would find a way to better optimize them on switch and make them look slightly nicer. Funny thing is the same devs make both games. I think it's due to how much larger the WRC worlds and stages are.
Honestly not great (audio & framerate wise). Can't the switch really do better than this? Yet when looking at games like Starlink Battle for Atlas, I'm sure it can.
@@shim2822 Its not about optimizing the game. What you're saying is a completely false narrative. You can bet the developers optimized the game is well as possible.
