Ouch! I too got hit with a ball at a match of my dad’s when I was little - a cricket ball in this case. Luckily not in the face, but in the shin. The bruise showed up all the stitching on the ball. I was very proud of that bruise like a badge of honour!! Hope she made a good recovery.
