Im almost 10 years in and will not switch based on that.
if she’s seeing that with her clientele, the call may be coming from inside the house and maybe people should think twice before going to her for loc maintenance.

I plan on trimming mine because they have gotten heavy and can’t do anything with them. But cut off my locs? Not in the plans now - 9-1/2 years in.
Wow.... My loc babies are 14 years old as of April 24th! Thank you for education and encouragement. Can't imagine cutting them off😮. I say I'll be that sassy Nanna at 90 years old , I'm 66 now, still rockin' my locs❤
If it is menopause. I suggest you ask your doctor to do a mineral blood test. To see what vitamins you are deficient in. Most like it d3 or iron. This is what I have found as a loctician as well get older the food we eat doesn’t give us the nutrients we need to sustain us.

So happy you spoke about this , I watch it and was not in agreement with that woman , proper care is needed and tight styles , medication etc ect Can cause thinning from the scalp !!.

Thinning during menopause isn’t every woman’s problem I am in the early stages of it myself my hair isn’t thinning i take supplements I drink water I also don’t eat fast food or drink soda I eat fruits and veggies diet has a lot to do with hair thinning or not I am 5 years 4 months locked also depends on how the is taking care of their locs styling too much can cause thinning I never style my locs always wearing them down except for a occasional braidout or is person using bleach on their locs or did in the past or retwist or interlock too tight or too much alot things can cause it I don’t believe it is just mempause because there are women well into their sixties who don’t have hair loss

Wow that's a powerful recommendation "cut all your hair off" hmm how about this NO!!! We can go to professionals & have tgem trimmed ect ect but telling people to cut them all off is terrible advice because if you do it & their not all that easy to reattach then you'll get why you don't rush to use scissors ✂️ on your loc's go to a loctician for recommendations first
