They found texts on mayor Adams phone from some big dogs in Turkey where he was accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars of gifts and money, didn’t declare any of it (other politicians declare it) and then a few years later got a text from one of the Turkish guys saying ‘your turn to repay the favour’ and asked him to ignore the failed fire inspection which he did, he told the department they would lose their jobs if they didn’t ignore the failed fire inspection and open the building. Sounds small but it’s a big deal, we had something similar a few years ago in London and a high rise building caught fire and hundreds of people died

Can any help me understand the mayor cut major civil service jobs and budget especially SNAP who was sued from clients complaining that they never received benefits on time and from there new system that a shame do city agencies such as Snap can sue the city for misconduct on budget cuts for a major food crisis issue what did he do with this money that's suppose to feed the public????
