I love this scene, actually - so glad I finally, after 5 years, got to see it! The way he describes Gallifrey, well two things, it’s very touching to see the Doctor refer back to his history as early as series 8. It’s also very distracting the way Peter Capaldi excitedly gives this monologue that has nothing to do with the rest of the series. Actually - well it had something to do with the ending of the finale, but only a small mention. Maybe Steven Moffat had wanted to write something different at first for the series finale but it didn’t work out, so Gallifrey was cut. Anyway it’s always so lovely to see more twelveclara scenes, and this is such a meaningful scene! Thank you for releasing this.
And why in the hell was this deleted. I actually had Tenth doctor vibes watching this back when he would recall gallifrey and it’s scenery. This could’ve saved the whole episode
As far as both of them know at the time, it is still locked away in a parallel pocket universe, and the Time Lords' attempt to get back to the universe in Time of the Doctor failed completely. Yes, Gallifrey was saved, but it is still gone from the universe.
Too bad there isn't a deleted scene from twice upon a time:( also will you be uploading scenes from series 11??. I don't think that jodie whittaker could be that bad.
@@Mytesmyth "SJW Doctor", fucking lol. Her run has literally been the least left-wing in almost 60 years of Doctor Who, but I guess one can't expect someone like you to know anything.
I thought all of Gallifrey was Time Locked though. Otherwise why would the Doctor make such a big deal out of finding Gallifrey if he could just pop back into the Past in his _time_ machine?
As I understand it, only the events of the Time War are Time Locked. There have always been restrictions on TARDISes travelling into Gallifrey's past. When the Doctor turned off the safeguards in "Listen", the TARDIS was able to go there.
PaulAndroid The safeguards are on Gallifrey, though. The transduction barriers prevent travel through time at those coordinates, and besides, if they can be circumvented so easily like that, why didn't the War Doctor or any other subsequent incarnation just go back to before the Time War was set in motion and stop it?
This was just before the two part finale so I think her line was meant to set up Missy's revelation that Gallifrey was back... even though by the end of the season it SEEMED like she was lying about it.

This would have made The episode so much better!
no
Eh Doctor... Gallifrey did unexpectly appear in the sky once. It wasn't a good thing.
This may have actually raised this episode from "yawn" to a solid "ok".
Don’t even know why they delete these scenes
I love your profile pic!
This is great - I love these. Too bad they were cut out for other content...
This alone would have made the episode somewhat bareable haha
Clara doesn't make sense in this - she witnessed the Doctor saving Gallifrey didn't she?
what relevance does this have, it could still have something to do with Gallifrey
i think at this point they weren’t sure if what they did in the day of the doctor worked.
But it's still lost at this point, they don't even know if the Gallifreyans are alive or frozen in a pocket universe.

Thank you SOOOOO much for sharing these wonderful deleted scenes 💙💙
this is awesome
Where does this scene connect to, in the episode? What comes next, what was before?
Why didn't this make it into the episode???!!!
Better than the whole episode

That sjw doctor doesn’t belong in the whoniverse. Thank god series 12 is her last.

What uf the Doctor is speaking about the flour when he falled in The Doctor falls?
the.... flour?
also: no
Such a great speech
"Gallifrey is gone forever"
So...where does she grab the kid Doctor's ankle again?
Justin Nguyen There's a thing called the Past

Paradix machines kept the war moving even when it was impossible.
Shouldnt be deleted
Except for the gallifrey is gone thing
Where did you find this?
Well, if you didn’t like Clara before. You don’t now!
1. That makes no sense
2. Why?
3. No I don't dislike her after watching this
Clara, what a buzzkill. What a great little scene, to think we lost this and kept scenes with those irritating kids...
This was just before the two part finale so I think her line was meant to set up Missy's revelation that Gallifrey was back... even though by the end of the season it SEEMED like she was lying about it.
This one scene would've really saved this episode, even though I don't hate it as much as some do.
