  • Garmisch-Partenkirchen enjoys an attractive location in the south of Upper Bavaria, close to the Austrian border. At 700 meters above sea level, the view always drops to the nearby Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain. Of course, it also has a charming old town with around 27,000 residents and a large pedestrian zone inviting numerous tourists and visitors to take a leisurely stroll. There are also Werdenfels castle ruins (which gave the Werdenfelser Land its name), Könighaus am Schachen with its botanical garden (Ludwig II), Olympic ski stadium with ski jumping, casino and several churches, e.g. B. pilgrimage church St. Anton, the neo-Gothic parish church "Maria Himmelfahrt", the Sebastianskirche and the old St. Martin parish church.
A crystal clear natural wonder right at the foot of the Zugspitze
At the foot of the Zugspitze is the Eibsee, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Bavarian Alps. Formed by a landslide more than 3000 years ago, the mountain lake of Grainau offers a variety of sports activities and excursions.
In summer, the Eibsee invites you to swim in the crystal-clear water, in addition to several family-friendly hiking trails. Sporty people can rent pedal boats, rowing boats and stand-up paddle boards and explore the lake on their own. Those who prefer a little quieter can always take a tour with the Zugspitze by electric boat with views of the Wetterstein mountains.

Kesinlikle görülmesi gereken bir yer. Göl kenarında bir yürüyüş ve Zugspitze manzarası 👌
