Hello, great work! However, I have used the same pro-vents on my newly vaulted ceiling with R19 insulation under it, and then drywall. Just finished everything 3 weeks ago. Now a cold snap hit and we are getting bad bad condensation between the batt and the baffle. Its pretty soaked. And I know air is moving from the soffits up to the ridge in the attic. I was wondering if you have checked at all between the insulation and baffle?? I found a can light hole also a speaker hole and shoved my hand up and sure enough soaked. So now we are back to square 1. Ripping drywall and insulation out then going with 4-5inches of spray foam on top of the baffles and sealing it off for good. Curious if you have ever checked for moisture up there if possible.

We haven’t checked it like that. We will be up there next weekend and will definitely do it. Thankfully we don’t have all the ceiling installed so can just pull back the insulation and check it. We will make a video of it is the same. Thanx for letting us know. God Bless!!

What R value insulation are you planning on installing into each cavity? I am assuming R13 because it looks like you have 2x4 rafters. I am currently planning on insulating a shed I bought for my wife. I also am planning on installing Provents from the eave vent to the ridge vent. I'm a little concerned if the R13 fiberglass insulation that I will be installing will fit into the cavity after I install the Provent. Nice work by the way.

I see you already saw the next video, R-15 Rockwool…. Not sure if the fiberglass will fit the same, but it should. From everything we understand the Rockwool is worth the extra $$ so maybe do a comparison. Think long term and heating/cooling savings too. Thanx for the comments. God Bless!!

What do you think about the idea of using aluminum tape to line the roof vent system you put in. This would go on the inside facing outward towards the plywood and metal roof. This would reflect heat from the metal roof. Useful for the otherwise empty airspace?

Oh yeah that’s a great idea. A radiant barrier on the inside. Thanx for the suggestion, if we ever do it again I’ll give it a try. Be Safe and God Bless!!
