Dont need to say anything, but this man did everything to make esport a big thing support gamers, I love you as a basketball player and a manager of echo fox I salute you sir
Can't be understated just how vital his support to the esports community was. He made a risk to invest in a scene that wasn't too relevant to the whole world at the time (but it was growing, for sure) and it paid off. He supported the community wherever he had appeared in. And he's always doing his best in doing all those things. What an awesome man this guy.
Amazing video, I absolutely love Rick Fox and I think most of the community would agree. Only thing you forgot was that M2K had a long run of successes and 1st place wins as an Echo Fox underdog story.
Alex Mora C9 doesn’t have a presence in the fighting game scenes besides Mango and while Mango is a successful player that still doesn’t compare to the successes the Echo Fox teams have on Tekken and SFV
I really respect how passionate he is about esports, coz I know some brands are only in it for the money. Nothing wrong with money but this kind of mindset (also prioritizing the overall well being of the players, helping them be proud of what they do etc. ) is what brings true success, and guess what....money follows that. All to best to him and his oraganization.
Never really cared for any NA LCS team prior to this year but when Echo Fox signed Huni i started rooting for them because of Huni. But ever since then, i have watched a lot of Rick Fox and he has made me a true Echo Fox fan. The guy seems so passionate and compassionate and everything he says comes across as genuine. It's hard not to root for him and his organization in my eyes
Just want to point out that echo fox took 2 evo championships that year with JDCR and Tokido. Not to mention Saint (another echo fox player) was in grand finals right along with him. I hope to see an echo fox players video next because JDCR and Saint have so many 1st place finishes between them, they made echo fox a household name for the fgc and it sucks they didn't even get name dropped in this video meanwhile choco blanka did...
i was wondering when those two would be mentioned. i didn't know how far apart the Tekken players were recruited by Echo vs the other fighting games though, but I remember them dominating Tekken at one point. So much to the point that "Echo Fox Mirror Match in the finals again" was pretty much a meme in the Tekken community lol
i liked the fact that he's thankful to the League Community for letting him in with open arms into the community, but I feel like the guy did more for letting esports not be a joke to anyone outside of games. we should be more thankful if anything.

Had a conversatiion with a friend about esports (he was a nba fan) in 2016, he said it wasn't a real sport. I demolished his argument and he still found a way to complain. Fast forward to 2017-18, we had a conversation again and his tune changed to one of interests and respect. Watch out people, esports is a thing, and is exponentially growing, money and popularity wise.
Wish my father was as supportive as Fox was to his son. It’s hard becoming a supportive person yourself when you didn’t really have much of it growing up. In a way Fox represents the father figure a lot of us need. Believe in your kids, your siblings, support them and what they love to do. My little brother loves fortnite, and even though I don’t like it I still play it with him every single week almost every single day. It makes me so happy seeing him happy playing this game. Video games are much more than games, like physical sports, they’re a way to bring people together and create relationships. To anyone who doesn’t believe video games are real sports, ask yourself this, what is a sport? I can guarantee you video games tick all the same boxes off and even more.
Back when a lot of people especially the media was doubtful and even treat the idea of esport as a joke. This man in support and to bond with his kid stepped in and helped show people that it is more than just a game.

Thank you, Rick Fox. You sir deserve a tip of a hat.
While I'm not a big fan of a lot of their team's players, it's clear to see that Rick Fox is a vital asset and a great representative of the eSports community and I'm glad that someone like him is a defender. I wish the best for him.
what an amazing story thank you rick fox!! never knew how the name echo fox came about but now it's loud, clear, and admirable
You guys seriously make the best eSports content imo. Keep it up
Wish my father was as supportive as Fox was to his son. I can guarantee you video games tick all the same boxes off and even more.
these documentaries are so well done. keep up the good work theScore esports!
Rick fox is the kinda guy that shows up infront of u to cheer u up and keep doing what u r doing until u achieve it
Back when a lot of people especially the media was doubtful and even treat the idea of esport as a joke. This man in support and to bond with his kid stepped in and helped show people that it is more than just a game.
I didn't know I needed this until I watched it, thank you for your time and effort The Score E-sports ❤️
