Those aerial shots were superb. Living in a country that has made drone flying near a railway an offence, they are a reminder of just how good they can be - and in safety.
Great drone shots. I used to live just north of town on US 1. That track bordered on the apartment complex where I lived. I actually loved living so close to the tracks. The trains going by would often rattle my building.
That's some long azz trains. For a RR that only operates in Florida they are long. Where are their major yards located? I know they interchange in Jacksonville.
Major yards are in Jacksonville and Hialeah (Miami). Smaller yards in Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, and New Smyrna Beach
Morning Buddy. Fantastic footage once again 😀 Great how they can run trains while the construction continues 👍🏻 Is the vehicle sandwiched between the locomotives a fuel tank? Here in the U.K. we’ve just extended our freight train length to 750 meters lol 😆 Yours are so long that if you ran then in the U.K. nothing else could run lol 😆 We’ve also started a new parcel service on rail called (Orion) using converted EMUs partly due to the driver shortage and the environment 😀 always a pleasure watching your videos. Cheers Stevie 😎🏴
I want you to know how much I enjoy your uploads, particularly those featuring Brightline. I live in Australia. Perhaps, when the idiotic mask mandate has been lifted for public transport in a few years from now I will consider travelling to Florida to travel on Brightline. There is tri-weekly service on Air New Zealand ex SYD/ADL/IAH/then UA to MCO.
@@RoamingRailfan Unfortunately, our XPTs are rubbish, but the Xplorers are superior. If you return to Oz someday you should try one of our luxury trains [using U S Budd-built equipment] like 'Indian Pacific', 'The Ghan' or 'Great Southern' [Dec and Jan only]. They are expensive, but worth every cent.
The second train is a northbound

Great job as always! When is your next report for the area?
I'll have another bridge edition soon (Crane Creek portion filmed prior to these trains) and another something special...

Yes, it carry’s liquified natural gas which the locomotives have been converted to run on.

Afternoon buddy. That sounds like a really good idea 👍🏻 Keep the videos coming 😀😎🏴
Nice...!
Nice catches. It looks like both trains are labeled as southbound. Would the second one be the northbound?
Correct it’s a northbound, I guess the graphic didn’t update…

I am very familiar with that Air New Zealand route having spent time in NZ and AU including some rides on your XPTs.

I actually enjoyed the XPT more than the xplorer. The Indian Pacific is number 1 on my international rail bucket list.
What are those poles for?
They’ll be used to build a temporary construction trestle
