I have mixed feelings about this. Amazing dancing? Yes, no doubt. CW 2-step? Not to me. Flashy ballroom nonsense in western clothing. I guess it's the notion of competition that ruins the dance. Not running down the guy y'all love; he's an amazing and inspired dancer. But this doesn't fit the country music and country scene I love. It's more like a ballroom perversion of it. Sorry. To each his own.
Just about every dance has a showcase division with wide open rules. Then classic divisions and so forth... plenty of people are dancing "plain old 2 step"
Can't believe you can't acknowledge fabulous two-step. Obviously the crowd can. They loved it!!! Cody and Resa are doing a very difficult two-step to country-western music. Are you saying they shouldn't be creative? Dance always evolves to creative genius. Get over it!
Two step is a very difficult dance which few ballroom people can master, I have seen some try and they have a lot of trouble and often can't get it. A few have made it, one is Sam Arvidson. Ballroom is the foundation of partner dancing so if you want to master dancing you have to study aspects of ballroom. Another great dancer who is at Cody's level of talent is Mike Wagner, he has great technique but works with classic dancing where they do not know the music beforehand so their routines can't be totally staged, look him up and see what you think.
I’m still watching in 2024! That ending pose!!!! 🔥
Technically great, wonderful choreography and just a delight to watch. Don't think you can ask for much more from a dance routine. Wow!
Who else is still watching in 2022?!

If we are such good dancers how come you dont dance to the beat of the music
did they win?
that lady is a spinner. I dont see 2 step in there must be some advance skipping or something
That’s because they’re masters at the craft. They’re are no fundamentals displayed here
