Want to thank everyone for watching and if as of this morning they are still running. I have noticed sizes getting little smaller but they are not too small! Get out there if you can before it’s over! Thanks for the support!
Thanks! Yeah I really love making the videos! Its a lot of work, but I have met some really cool people and made a lot of new friends doing it. So its totally worth it! Thanks for watching!
@@JackedUpFishing awesome bro. In the future we can link up and do a video together. I rented a house for some river shrimping this week. Will post but my vlogs are running behind. We want to Cedar Key last Friday night but the shrimp are small.
@@JackedUpFishing I’ve had to resort to to watching videos for the last year, I’ve put my life on hold taking care of my mother without any help from my family and I love fishing with all of my heart. Usually yes, but now they are thick right in the middle of the channel. As of last night they were so thick I was throwing a 10ft net and crushing them - over 100 a cast. They are smaller now though. Kind of a mixed batch some large some small.
Absolutely awesome guys I’m glad you told people where you were lots of times people don’t but that was amazing the two years work together fantastic what a show great show
It's a Shumaker Net. They are made in Ormond Beach, Florida and are some of the best shrimp nets made. Google it and give him a call. He ships as well, you will not be disappointed. He will make any color you want.
Not in Daytona. These are white shrimp which bed down in the mud at night. But if you go 20 min south in the Edgewater / Oak Hill are in the months of Jan- March you can dip the brown or red shrimp there with good success around the full moon.
***What are your settings on your Humminbird 858 for SENSITIVITY/ CONTRAST/ SHARPNESS and related settings for shrimping and ability to ‘see’ castnet in water column???? Will try your settings here in Southeast Louisiana!!! Thanks, John Castelluccio
I increase gain until there becomes snow, then I turn it down just until the snow goes away. that is how I set all of my machines. No filters, no fish symbols, just very sensitive so you can see anything in the water column. Hope that helps .
I always watch the videos especially this time of year when the shrimp is running but the St John's not doing too well I would like to try Daytona just do not exactly where to go where about could I try I got no idea but I hear they're running good

Hey buddy ! Are you throwing a 12ft? I went out yday and got a limit but only have a 8 ft net so took me a few hours .never tossed a 12 so not sure haha
Yeah, but I rather have the freezer full of tails personally. Don't have the room to keep the heads after 4 weeks of shrimping. But yes I love the stock too!
Awesome. I've always wondered how any shrimp could survive 5 minutes, being so slow and so tasty. Anyone know, do they have a defense strategy other than sheer numbers? Like, do they hide in seaweed?
@@FrankJamger right now I just looked out there and there is 50 boats all casting and busting them, so I don’t think there is any defense to that ! Lol
I've always wanted to cast net for wild shrimp. wild shrimp is like $18 a lb where I live so a 25 lb limit would cost me like $500 while it costs you guys approximately $20 in fuel. With 2 people I could get $1000 worth of shrimp for $20 in gas. Just the idea having a mess of fresh shrimp for dinner is beyond amazing to me.
Because it's fun with your friends. Plus when you get them everyday for weeks it really doesn't matter. I give them away a lot to friends and family at that point.
