    Vialetto Tony, I'm Portuguese, my daughter has a newer Giulietta Jtdm. I'm also the one who does maintenance, including the timing belt. Thanks for the demonstration of your videos. To replace the oil filter, the oil must be purged from the filter. I use a 1.5 liter plastic (water) bottle, count the neck and cut it vertically in half (shape of half cane) and leave the bottom with about more than 0.5 liters. Place the bottle to retain all the oil that is in the filter location which is about 0.5 liters. Sorry for my English.

    I watched this video a couple of days after getting my Giulietta and was horrified by the oil filter position. Then I realised that you were working on the diesel. As mine is petrol I shot outside to check only to find. probably. The most accessible oil filter I`ve ever seen. So the diesel is so awkward and the 1.4 petrol so easy. As the Americans say “go figure”.

    Managed to do the filter part without removing the piece of panel guess my fingers are a bit stronger or the filter was loosely fitted last time at the garage.
    An idea for catching the oil filter a piece of tube on a 3" funnel under the filter into another container. But drill a 6mm hole in the filter cap next time you can control the flow easier, maybe. Thanks for the clear video made the job ready prepared.

We use our 2.0 JTDm 170 around town and on the motorway, and it works excellently. Lots of torque too. Whatever you decide, check mileage and if it needs or has had the cam belt and water pump changed.

      @@danendanen8246 I agree. It’s certainly a great car. The petrol may prove to be a bit quieter for you , but have a think about fuel costs. You’ll be happy with it whatever you choose 😉. All the best.

    Please, How do I reset service interval on Giuelietta 1.4T 88kw 2017? without car diagnostic...

      @vialettotony  2 года назад +1

      Hi Saman1962, On the Giulietta there are 2 different parameters that should be reset. I understand that one can be done through a "Dance on the pedals" (a process of pressing different pedals and buttons in order) that i do not know unfortunately, but i think can be found on social media. But the 2nd one can only be reset using the software tool. Apparently if you do nothing and just leave it, the lights will go off eventually. I have not done mine yet, but will be making a video when I do. Hope this helps??? All the best and thanks for watching.

      @@Saman1962 ah that’s a shame. If you wanted to try it with a diagnostic tool, I released a new video this week showing how to do it on my car. Good luck, all the best 👍

    32 pitch wrench required. by hand is easy, they placed the oil filter too badly.

      These dipsticks are terrible to read. Give it some good time to settle and it may be easier. I’m guessing you’ve sorted it now though. All the best 👍

      @vialettotony I gave it... one month constantly seeing the deestick but always sawing me less even after the engine was in higher temperature and in the end from what it seems it needs 4,7liters I put 500ml and now it saws correct

    After how many Kms should oil be exchanged?

    • @vialettotony
      @vialettotony  2 года назад

      Hi. It depends on the age of your car and whether petrol or diesel. Mine is a 2011 diesel, so the official stats are 21,000 miles.
      A 2011 petrol would be every 18,000 miles. Hope that helps. All the best 👍.
