I was planning to buy a mirrorless camera myself for casual photography for the last 2 weeks. I was getting bewildered by the fact that despite being very very expensive there was not a single camera which would tick all the boxes and make the buying decision easy. Then I finally decided to give up the idea all together and instead go for iphone 14 Pro or Google pixel 7 pro which have very good camera which serve very well the purposes of travel, landscape and portrait photography. Your video reinforced my view. It is an eyeopener.
Mehanga kachara concept is so right......Pple still love to hold a camera while having a phone on pocket but compatibility of camera is zero......camera companies are just on weed of we make great picture, so were overproud
I think PENTAX was the only brand who used to offer more than a common enthusiastic photographer need. But we all killed that brnd. I am a Nikon user. I have full frame Nikon D700. And I am happy with it. But will definitely buy a Pentax DSLR with old manual focus lenses

Tho, Smartphone cameras are improved a lot since from inception they're still nowhere near to DSLR. Even decade old nokia lumia 808/ 1020 were superior than current flagships. Compare them Side by side u will find the difference. don't know why do phone makers push image processing to the limit where photos start appearing very artificial and soul less.
