Yes sir Dave it is cold! But that's why we cut firewood all year haha. Kinda makes me proud seeing the temperature in the house nice and warm while it's frigid outside 👍🔥
I burned about a ton of coal and about a facecord of wood to heat the house so far. Just picked up another ton of coal last week. I’ve used about a cord and a half for garage heat. Stayin warm. Glad to see you got your stove situation straightened out befor the frigid temps. Thanks for sharing 😃
Enjoy it the inside will never be that clean again! lol One thing I did was take measurements of the inside plate and the size of the cut out bc they will eventually burn up and warp. Wow did your subs explode good for you guys! Check out one eyed customs : Doug made a sweet box blind. Might get some good ideas.

I’m just about to burn my 5th cord of wood here in ohio heating with 2 fireplace inserts to heat 3,000sqft keeping the home at 74 degrees fyi old farmhouse blown in insulation doesn’t help
Whoo that's a lot of wood. No I've tore all my walls down and put rolled insulation in the walls after I foamed all the cracks. That definitely has helped us out. Stay warm buddy! 👍🔥
I’m going to have to do the same as you then the house is very drafty but like anyone else it’s cheaper to get more wood than fixing issues haha but love the firewood and wood burning videos I as well go through Coalway for the heating needs for sure a great company
I will say it's definitely been worth all the work. Back when I moved in I had electric space heaters going everywhere and I still couldn't get the house above 65. It scared me to death when it got this cold with the girls. Now it's SO much easier to heat and I still have a few more walls to foam and insulate. Yeah Coalway and DS are good people 👍
