Very nice guitarwork by the great Doug Aldrich, the amazing guitarist who also played for Dio, Lion, Whitesnake, Bad Moon Rising, Dead Daisies, Burning Rain, Revolution Saints, Glenn Hughes, and more.
I so remember this song from back in the day. it was this song the got me into this band. house of lords, music rocked & ruled then. not like today. well there are a few rock bands that are still good, just have to find them
Once again, that beautiful gravely voice with such passion. He definitely has the vocals to make one tingle inside and just want more and more. Nice!!! His band is phenomenal to say the least!!!!
This is the good version by them. They have 2 versions. House Of Lords actually rerecorded this song, and it doesn't sound nearly as passionate in the vocals. The newer version sounds like he has dentures or something. Lots of lispy sounds. The big bummer, is that you can't find this version for download. Just the newer version. Guess I'll have to find this on CD if I want it. 🤷♂️
Lots of CDs for sale on Discogs Marketplace. Actually, there are 3 versions. There is one called Short Cut Version. It was a bonus track on the 1999 Axe Killer reissue of Sahara.
Your absolutely right. The other version of this song on their Anthology album (I believe) actually sucks compared to this Sahara version. Like night and day. Great album all around.
Tunes like this is why I listened to metal exclusively in the 80s and early 90s. Crank these other 1 hit wonders from 1990: XYZ Inside Out; Trouble Misery Shows; The Scream Man in the Moon.
this version is good but i love blind faiths more.. probably because i heard it in the early 70s and it reminds me of my hippy dippy days.. .. brings back memories of innocence... before real life took over
Who is actually credited playing lead guitar on this version of the song? It looks like Aldrich in the video but I’ve been hearing conflicting stories that it’s not him actually playing. The leads are absolutely killer.
Hmmm ... to each his own, but I much prefer the original Blind Faith versions, Eric solo, Bonnie Raitt (drunk) or Alison Krauss (sober). This one replaces the rather mellow blues-folk-rock warmth with overproduced, clinical sounding guitars and vocal akrobatics which don't really fit the song; much like Limp Bizkit having a Go (and a Miss!) at The Who's 'Behind Blue Eyes' . But then again, tastes differ ...
Hard to believe that this was replaced by grunge and nu metal
Damn the Seattle movement. Didn't even know how to play instruments.
agreed!

I always felt that this was really good remake. 🤘🎸
YES, somebody done a Hard Rocking version of this Classic song, it's the way I would have done it

Michael "I didn't play a note on this" Guy is, and always has been, the consumate putz.

@xxxXXDarknessXXxxx
that is actually michael guy in this music video.
doug only helped out in the album but was not a band member.
Michael Guy never actually played on the album.
Sounds a lot like Bon Jovi's "Wanted dead or alive".
Arinator74 thank u so much for this. Been looking for the song that sounded similar to this one
