  • It is the love of detail that unites us and drives us every day.
Model railways have been with us in all shapes and forms for many decades now.
The headquarters of Modelleisenbahn GmbH, based in Bergheim near Salzburg, brings together a wide range of different areas of responsibility: from product management and design to marketing, sales, IT, finance and customer service.
The realisation of these technical innovations takes place in the production plants of Modelleisenbahn GmbH.
At the Lower Austrian plant in Gloggnitz, a wide range of technical tasks are combined with a great deal of enjoyment at work. Toolmaking, article design and injection moulding - these are the hobbyhorses of this location.
The "Model Railway SRL" is located in Arad, Romania, where models are painted, printed and assembled.
A wide variety of departments ensure that the ROCO and FLEISCHMANN models are prepared, assembled and delivered to retailers: Pre-assembly, surface treatment, final assembly of locomotives and carriages, assembly of accessories, control systems and pantographs, logistics and quality assurance.

I own one BR 218 in Touristik livery, and I thoroughly love it.
But I hope that one day Roco will build BR 216 in cream and blue livery.

I use the Z21 controlsystem on my Märklin AC layout, so much easier to use than the MS2 control. Also the details on the ROCO trains and wagons are better than Märklin. Im still waiting for ROCO to make some 1930s Swedish steam engines and wagons, like the SJ s 938 train or the Lennakatten museum train ;)
