In de tentoonstelling 'Kleur als Taal' ontdek je wat kleur betekende voor kunstenaars Etel Adnan en Vincent van Gogh. Etel Adnan vond in kleur een universele taal die culturen en grenzen overstijgt.
In de serie ‘Kleur als Taal’ wordt het thema van deze tentoonstelling vanuit vier verschillende perspectieven belicht. In deze aflevering gaat modestylist Thomas in gesprek met Educator Harma. Ze praten over de rol van kleur in het uitdrukken van je identiteit en de inspiratie die hij haalt uit de kleurcombinaties in Etel Adnans werken.
Over Thomas Vermeer
Thomas is stylist en werkt inmiddels zo’n vijftien jaar in de modewereld. Hij mag namen als Longchamp, ELLE, LINDA, Harper’s Bazaar, Campari, Hermès, Christian Dior, DKNY en het Van Gogh Museum op zijn conto schrijven en dat is niet voor niets. Thomas benadert kleur als een ware kunstvorm en uit dit ook als onderdeel van het kunstenaarsduo Rotteveel Vermeer.

The ‘Colour as Language’ video series explores the theme of the exhibition from four different perspectives. In this episode, Educator Harma chats with fashion stylist Thomas. They discuss the role of colour in expressing your identity and how Thomas is inspired by Etel Adnan’s colour combinations.
About Thomas Vermeer
Thomas is a stylist with 15 years’ (and counting) experience in the fashion world. He has worked with major names such as Longchamp, ELLE, LINDA., Harper’s Bazaar, Campari, Hermès, Christian Dior, DKNY and the Van Gogh Museum, and for good reason. Thomas sees colour as a true art form, and puts this into practice as one half of colourist duo Rotteveel Vermeer.
