- Finally. Not really the way I wanted, and the way I wanted at the same time. First off, im sorry for the delays, life hasn't been easy for me recently. Second, my apologies to anyone with a weak stomach or motion sickness, doing these "off the cuff" sometimes means the "camera work" (lol) is a bit shaky. Hey everyone! I just wanted to take the chance to thank all of you who have viewed even part of the video, liked it, or commented. This has been a passion of mine for 20+ years and for many reasons, ive never been able to sit down and create a RUclips channel that even approached some of the biggest out there for quality and content. However, ive always viewed myself as more the anonymous collector who would pop up from time to time back in the day to show off an incredible Air Max or OG Dunk collection (yes, I was into Nike a ton too about a decade ago! The Air Max stash is still strong lol) The last decade+ however, I just totally fell in love with New Balance's message and product 100%. Thank you very much for all the kind words, it'd been a really difficult last 3 months for me personally but being able to release this and see the reaction has been worth it completely. Those Patta 991’s are their best NB imo, I’ve got the sea moss v2’s to be shown still, and they’re really nice as are the v3’s they did a few years ago, but the color and quality on those Dusty Rose/Pink are next level. Amazing collection. Love the Pale Ales, Jokers, Madness 990v2s, and all of the 992s. I'm going on a New York trip in a week or so and am hoping to find a 992 I've been looking for! Ideally the Levis, WTAPS, or Kith Spring. Glad I picked up the Packers when they released but should have pulled the trigger on another pair or two of 992s, they are all just so hard to find now! One question because I noticed you are not "stretching" your shoe stretchers fully, is this just for quicker access, or do you worry the stretching (or heel thing itself) wears them out? Pure curiosity :) cheers and have a great day!

That brand of shoe tree has a very strong metal “slinky” part that stretches against the front toe box very strongly so for those pairs (Dime 860v2’s) I just want the toe box shape maintained without over stretching the upper. I just appreciate you checking out the channel! As far as “NB god” or whatnot, that stuff isn’t really important to me, I like what Dylan has done for the brand with his enthusiasm/professional approach to his reviews. This always felt more like just a guy going thru shoe boxes from time to time and taking video lol wish I could be a lot more produced like his content and some others I like, but for now this is the best I can do and I appreciate people like yourself coming over to check it out however ya’ll do. Trust me, compared to 20+ years ago when it was a lot more just wearing kicks and being noticed in public if at all, this is a whole new world and as long as someone considers me “one of” the better NB collectors out there, that’s all good for me! Edit. The Kith x United Arrows v4 is an all time classic imo. Had one of my pairs stolen from me but that’s a story for another day smh. I’d def go with those if you were still on the fence

AP: you're a true size 11 normal width. TTS in 574s and 990v1, and go down half size in 550s, 990v3, 990v4, 990v5, 990v6? what about 990v2? 992? 998? 1500? just gathering consensus from people i trust and follow all things NB
There’s so much to answer in this, I haven’t been ducking it; however with New Balance, the width/sizing options are that varied to begin with never mind from model to model that I understand trying to gather a consensus. Since I don’t own as many v2’s I don’t have as specific as sizing with those as I do with 998’s for example. I can go a size above or below 10.5/11 because of the shape of my foot, long and narrow depending on the width, I can fit different models in much wider ranges of sizes. 5xx series stuff like 574’s or 576’s have widely differing toeboxes for me, 574’s being wider, easier to fit compared to say the more compressed feel of the 576/7. I love 992’s as much for their comfort and ease of fit thru a wider range of sizes personally as I do all the amazing colorways that have ever released. One of the reasons I had 996’s and 574’s when I was a kid was that they were available at FootLocker here in the northeast as a 2 for 89 deal (sometimes less on sale) and in different widths and colors. As a collector I want to be able to wear everything I own, in a few rare cases I will buy a shoe that doesn’t fit me if it’s so rare or simply a collectible at that point due to age, I’d say 98% of my stuff is wearable in terms of size for me, it would and has broken my heart to finally track something down only for them to be unwearable due to either size and or wear. They do, in general v2’s have a narrower toebox/forefoot area so they work great for my foot but depending on width they may run smaller for some, such a great shoe regardless. Cheers 🫡

First off I want to say that a comment like this is the entire reason I started collecting kicks 20+ years ago! Thank you! This all started on a whim when my friend told me pretty much the same thing you did lol. Between a very difficult personal/family situation and my career, my attempts to organize and create better content has eluded me so far. There’s good news on the horizon in that regard in 2024 so hopefully you’ll be seeing exactly what you talked about really soon. I’m not the most social media savy (obviously 😂) so any organic sharing and word of mouth is what I’ve relied on more than the TikTok to RUclips polished jump many others do.
