The exhilaration as you make one last catch and the crowd cheers. You smile, kiss the carpet, salute the judges once again, and finally, turn to the crowd, waving and smiling so big you begin to feel tears rolling down your face... this is what you live for. This, is Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Beautiful sport! I have a question, when does a gymnast choose her apparatus? They practice all of them?
Yes, they practice five; hoop, ribbon, clubs, ball, and rope. Rope is no longer used in competition, however.
They have All-Around competition where the scores for all four apparatuses are added and then they have Event finals, so highest score with clubs, or ribbon, etc.
