Love it when you wing it and make ephemera Gayle. With those label shape papers you could glue two together, just put the glue around the boarder not in the middle. Cut 1/2 in off one end. Then take a scrap of cardstock cut it to fit inside the little pocket you have created. Glue it into the small end. Then you can slide it into the larger end to make a hidden note spot. Glue on a paper clip and it’s ready to decorate. Hugs, Amy💕
Gayle, I've been watching you since 2019. You were the person who finally inspired me to actually try and make a junk journal. Your positive attitude, your humor and the pretty projects you created made me want to see if I could make these books as well. Over the years I've watched a lot of RUclips journalists but I always start my day off watching your videos. Here it is three years later and you still inspire me. I see you make things like the envelope you made today and it feeds my desire to do more and do better. Thank you so much for all you do with your videos. You are a delightful person who offers so much to your viewers.
What a fun day! Love that decorated envelope wrapped around a journal page. I have lots of colored notecards. The girls used them to color code things for study guides to study from. I’ll have to get them out and make some of those pockets. Have a blessed day!
Happy Friday Gayle! Great ideas for what we having laying around, I liked the envelope wrap around with the extra pockets. Have a wonderful weekend and see you Scrappy Saturday. 👍🎄🎄🎄
Hi Gayle, the little cards could be inked then folde into a tiny booklet to put in a pocket, you could add extra pages, or use them as covers, once again folded , for little collage paper pads. Definitely got me thinking x
Hello Gayle. Those pretty pastel labels would make a beautiful Easter Journal cover base. You could do a patchwork effect and decoupage them and then add the focal point. Wishing you all the best over this festive period. 🇿🇦🌲🤶enjoy your family time.
You were the one to inspire me to try to make journals and I thank you profusely. It gave me something to do with my hands during the past few years of not being able to walk. I can't even think of any other words to describe how much this craft and you have meant to my life. It has certainly given me purpose, gifts for my family and helped most definitely to keep me cheerful during these years. Love your humor and ingenuity in finding new ways to use paper. Bless you!!!
Hi Gayle. You are looking to be finished with Christmas and I have not started my Christmas journal yet. Had to finish a journal for a friend to give to her Sister for Christmas. The theme was NY Yankees and they live on a boat, quite the challenge for me but proud of myself for getting it done. My friend was delighted and I’m hoping her Sister is too. I could not have faced that challenge without your creativity and encouragement. Thank you, thank you!

The shaped cards would be fun to Gelli print and make pockets or journal cards. Forgotten Friday's Friday, say hello to Mixed Media Monday! Safe Travels.
We are in the same boat as you with your construction guys. I understand your frustration. We have half a privacy fence down so an Ash Tree can be taken down (dumb ashbores). I’m trying my best not to get upset but I believe my foot really wants to be put down.😟😟
Good evening. Wow A video at 11 pm thrs here in Calif. way to shake it up. I was awake and excited to watch Hope there’s another one for my coffee with Gayle 🎉❤
I have seen the curved cards (15:15 ish) being turned into pockets. Take one card as the back and then cut a second one in half horizontally or vertically and glue and/or sew around the outside and then create a small tag to put into the pocket you created. You could then glue in onto a page to create a second small pocket. I don't know where I saw it or who did it as it was a while ago.
For that first wrap around page that you folded over for a pocket and folded in half… you could also trim off the very top of the page with the side pocket and create another pocket in the top and decorate both sides.then you will leave it unattached to the adjacent page making the whole piece a small page itself.
Hey there Gayle. Thanks for sharing. Idea: for those big label looking things, could you cut out the middle and make a frame out of the edge? Did that make sense? If you’re careful cutting out the middle, you can glue some “film” to that frame and glue the piece you cut out as backing? Make sort of a shaker or window kind of thing? I don’t know, just a thought. I’m sort of a beginner and learn from you. 😀😀
Hi Gayle, I have an idea for your ornate shaped cards. You could run them thru your die cutting machine. First emboss & then cut a rectangle out of the middle, making a frame. Just embossing them would be pretty cool. Love the stuff you made ❤️ Hugs from Michigan.
I think on those little cards that look kinda like labels, you could just add collage to the middle of it or slap a cluster on them and they would make cute journal cards or pockets
Thank you so much, Diana, for your gift through YT Super Thanks! I appreciate your support so very much! I absolutely love what I do and spending time with my YT crafting buddies! Hi Gayle Good rainy Afternoon! I was thinking those large die-cut labels would make a nice cover for some scrap paper to journal on and tucked inside a journal. I’d milk paint or gesso over them since they seem a bit bright for me. Thank you for sharing so many of your creative juices with all of us! 💖
The forgotten friends bases are fun to decorate they will be perfect for your journals. The new time is great. I’m usually awake about now but trying to whine down from the day. Your voice is so relaxing. Have a great day. 😊
I was thinking that you could take a bunch of the business cards and glue them to a decoupage sheet and cut out lot of little cards -they would be ready to go
For those colored label looking things you could make pockets out of them or fold them in half and make little notebooks out of them. Fun shape to work with. Hey if I can spare you the trouble of deciding I am more than happy to take them off your hands...lol.
I went to bed as usual and started to bring up Rachel to watch who’s my nighttime buddy and I found you there, my morning buddy. I tried but I fell asleep so I had to finish you this morning. Sometimes it takes me three times to finish one of Rachels but you know what I bet that’s a view every time so it might be better if I fall asleep watching you then you get two views out of me for one video. I don’t know enough about any RUclips algorithm to know if that’s particularly good or not. 😆
Hello Gayle, the cards you asked about, I fold them in half and use them as cellophane bag toppers. Fill my bags and staple a decorated folded tag to the top!!
So many ideas! Thank you Gayle. I’m tripping over Christmas in my small craft room and just can’t seem to get one thing finished! Happy weekend everyone! Blessings 💜
Hi Gayle! I'm thinking you could gesso first to bring down the colors and then collage over those fancy labels and make some fancy tags out of them. Thank you for sharing all that you do! You have given me so much inspiration this past year!
Hi, the paper shapes, they could be good as an envelope flap to make a rectangular piece of paper into an envelope, or fold at say 1/3 to make a double pocket. Maybe use 4 of them like the circles to make a fold in envelope 🤔 P.s. they might have been from me from a goodie box I sent way back 😀 xx
VOILA, just like that we have a whole matching set!! 💙💕 The little December/Christmas file card is adorable!! The October & November ones would be perfect for a Fall journal as well!! 😘🍂🦉🍁🍄
