I’ve had my Verus Edge two or three years now and I really like it. (No Autel but it’s on my wish list). I leave mine powered up on the docking station all the time. It has a solid state hard drive so no problem with leaving it switched on. The stand loop on the back is handy for hooking over a steering wheel too. Sure track is just a ‘guessers guide’ and you’re too good for that anyway Sandy. It’s based on job card data so has limited value. My only real criticism is it’s a pain to use scanner and scope at the same time. You basically have to cheat the machine into doing it. Snap-On should have been on top of that long ago. Bluetooth range is poor on mine too. I’m sure you’ll feel it’s a worthwhile investment, especially as you’re already familiar with Snap-On’s diag tool layout and functions. Enjoy Sandy.
Cheers Russell, don't think I'm too good for any help!!! Folk slag off the Snap on stuff, done it myself, but when u just want the job done it seems to deliver more often than not, plus it looks good LOL cheers sandy
I love my edge. It's not perfect but none are. You have a different software bundle than the north American version. I love the capability of keeping records of all your scans, ive had the verus, then the pro and now the edge. Kept all my vehicle records and have like 12 or 13 years worth. I always search for a previous record so I can view the codes gathered before as well as any recorded data files or lab scope recordings. There is a micro SD card slot under the access in the left hand grip i added a 400gb card to increase storage but now ive upgraded the hd and ram so don't really need that. Look for the docking station and add a large screen keyboard and mouse its awesome! I also have a maxisys elite as a backup scanner . Have Ford IDS, GM MDS, and Ross tech Vagcom on my Edge. I use it for programming GM and Fords. Did I mention I love my Edge? Nice purchase. I tried VLC player as it has a screen recording capability but the Edge does not have a microphone so no audio with the recording. I ordered a USB mic but never got around to trying it out. If you have any questions I'd be happy to help.
@@Sam-fm3gh According to Ford's minimum hardware requirements the Edge does not comply. I upgraded the hard drive and doubled the RAM was able to install it. It does run quite slow though and because the Verus software does 99% of what I need it to do on Fords I have since March let my subscription to IDS lapse. I figure if I really need it I will just pay for access and update at that time. As far as the Vagcom software goes it seems to run just fine for me.
@@PhillipBailey Hi! Just bought an edge. Waiting for it to arrive. I saw your video about upgrading the ssd and the ram (thank you), it's on my to do list. I have a technical question: on the back of the m4 module is written max AC voltage 50v. How can you scope for instance the primary voltage of a coil without an attenuator? It should hit 3-400v... I also saw aes selling snap-on attenuator leads... Could you enlighten me please?
Hi dear friend. Awesome video. These are wonderful scanners but I can't dream of one. They are way beyond my reach! Wish you very good luck.

Hiya Phillip, I've been told by a few people that you cannot add Ford IDS and Ross tech Vagcom to the Verus Edge. How did you do it
