Your video helped me take apart my Verus D10 and clone the HDD to SSD. I removed the HDD and did the cloning externally via another PC to avoid any issues with XP having trouble with the cloning software program. Also, I used a Crucial 500GB SSD to create an identical clone of the original 500GB Seagate HDD. It works perfectly. Thanks for making this video!
Thanks for this the versus running slow has been a real pain I'll have a go looks handy enough thanks for the video. Looks quicker even opening tabs compared to mine
when I decided to upgrade my ssd I watched a video by britec09 and video title was how to upgrade your hdd to ssd without reinstalling windows i found it had links to different amazon ssd and tools but i would say that partition wizard i think are now charging for there software from version 12 i would also advise to check that as it will increase your cost . hope that might help more
You'd need to go into the bios and change the settings to the original working settings. I don't own one so can't tell you but when it reset the bios it goes to defaut, a setting in the bios wasn't default hence your problem. You'd need to go into the bios and try different options til it works again or get someone with a known working one tell you the bios settings for everything you can duplicate them in your machine. It's just a computer, same happens, bios resets, PITA.
does anyone have a hdd image i could have as i accidentally started to wiped my hdd instead of formatting my ssd drive. i still have the main partition saved but its locked in a restore loop but its missing some backup capsule. so if i can get someones image i could find and restore this file so it comes out of the restore loop
hi sorry no I dont I used one off amazon I just made sure ssd was same size or bigger of existing hdd. find out what hdd size your verus is and never use smaller ssd. i will check back but it is better making sure you know what hdd size is in your verus.
@@mobile.diagnosticsni6937 thanks for the reply, yes mine is running on win xp but I will have to take a look to see how easy it will be to strip down .
Windows xp is not the best with ssd. If u can transfer the drivers and software to windows 10 then do that. There are many instructions on how to strip down windows 10 and get rid of all the bloats it will run much faster.
the hardware of the verus is too old for windows 10, yes it will run but will be very laggy and most of the drivers most likely won't work. xp is very good for just running the same software over and over again, no stupid adverts like you get on windows 10 just does the job, with an ssd on windows xp is very fast

@8:37 I was wondering’ what that was on the screen… 😂🤦🏼♂️🤣
This scanner is worth buying today in 2024
btw, I was quite surprised to find the Verus Pro has no internal fan.
I don't understand why they exclude a fan.
I have snap on d 10. After bios battery gone I replace it. now I can’t connect any more to cars. Scan tool can’t concet car

Any luck with the restore?

@@mobile.diagnosticsni6937 hi thank you I will check the size I have
@@scottduncan88 it's best way Scott to make sure you get the right sized ssd. there are plenty on amazon and all I did was read reveiws on them .
hey do you know where i can get the software my hdd died and i want to fix it with a ssd and reload it.
If HDD has died my advice is to use a specialist to retrieve your data and transfer it direct to SSD. Then fit SSD in
@@mobile.diagnosticsni6937 thats to much only wanted the os with the apps. i can clone it off of a working one when i find one
Only way I've got OS is to pay for one . Has to do that a few times sorry
@@mobile.diagnosticsni6937 i have access to the os no problem its the apps i wont have. i can reformat the item and put any windows on it.
you will need to make a clone copy from another working verus to get all the drivers and software
Hello ,just came across this and my question to you sir, is this possible to do this on a earlier verus. Mines a 2009.. thanks for your time .
If your versus has a removal hard drive yes you should be able to ok . My versus runs on Windows XP and it's old .
