It isnt as easy as it looks to do. I doubt the ingame moves were actually motion captured, even if they are they must hav used some ropes and stuff to make it look so authentic.
The man who did the motion capture is the capoeirista lateef crowder, and all those movies are real of course, i guess they edited some things like maybe velocity and that stuff to make it match with the game and the frames and all that, but yes the moves and all its real, look for some capoeira videos there are movements even more crazy and cool that the ones on the game, i hope it helps! PD: he is the one on the "undisputed" movies and some more

Impressive. I was never able to do half of those on my capoeira days. One minor thing: at 1:24, the final Au (cartwheel) is a diff one. Is the one with an extra twist of one the front of you.
It's fun, but not that practical. Don't let that stop you from learning it though. Chances of you getting in a real fight are very low, and it is very, VERY fun/neat to learn.
That's probably because capoeira looks silly in practice because it's hardly a martial art. It's mainly just for show, and this guy is just practicing it for... well, show. He's much too slow for this to be practical... which the art is not. It does have one thing going for it. It's fun as fuck to learn, and when you really learn and master it, it looks cool as hell. Flashy does not equal good in a fight, but it LOOKS good.
@@roetemeteor capoeira is all about looking silly and not exactly strong. Capoeira biggest advantage is the surprise that it comes with it, once it is hard to expect from where the next hit will come from. There are no initial positions or such things to predict, it is fluid and unpredictable. A sequence of somewhat weak and yet surprising kicks are better than strong and yet defensable ones. That is the whole idea. Edit: Also, I forgot to mention how the dodging is essential for it to work
@@roetemeteor remember that capoeira is a martial art disguised in a dance because they were slaves, that means that if you are learning capoeira you will learn the whole thing as it used to be but as they would do, in a fight you would never use the "dance" part or the acrobatic stuff(some good kicks are acrobatics tho, that ones you can use it of course) but you will use just the martial art part in a fight, also there are hits like punches in the neck that of course are forbidden in sports and stuff like that, its too ling to explain all now but you get the idea. Basically watch marcus aurelio on mma or Michael pereira for example(there are some more capoeiristas on mma) and you can see how it would look, see you brother!

I'm into a lot of things such as breakdance, aerial Acrobatics, martial arts tricking, gymnastics, handbalnce, circus arts, but I credit capoeira for a lot of my inspiration. It was one of my first arts I loved.
