the REEL pinnacle of overhead jiggers in my opinion is the Shimano Ocea jigger, I handled both the saltiga and the ocea side by side and found the shimano to be smoother, more precise, lighter and more compact in the hand but I must say the saltiga is easily the second best jigger on the market, + it has more drag so probably better on tuna :)
@@TackleWest Okay I'll remove that. I have both and you are right about parts. The evergreen is next, next level though. You did influence me to buy the 22 Exist 5000, it's even nicer than my Saltiga Bay Jigger 4000SH, or Morethan Branzino How do rate the Shimano Ocea Jigger I have vs this new Saltiga?
Man Love this new reel. Was looking at the Ocea but when I saw this in person and this blue gold is crazy. Picking this up with the odm slow pitch 6. 8 rod at Tomas Tackle in Salem Mass this week.
Thank you kindly for sharing the information on the new Daiwa reel so very impressed with this new product for 2022. Can I make a little suggestion please to include your name so when calling the store to be able to speak with you please. As I live in Port Stephens NSW some items you sell I have not been able to find here in nsw Thank you kindly for your understanding please. Kind regards John Dickson.
Just received this from ebay through FedEx. And I am using a Pro-hunter kaido vervio 200g max 6'1" solid rod (as light as a feather)with spiral guides and strong enough to land a 38kg yellow fin tuna...just within 10-12 minutes...(230g Tokayo). Daiwa Saltiga 15h is very cute and small 😍 but it fights like a serious monster built for the kill. Don't be fooled !!! Edit:I used Saltiga EX #3 (55 lb) 400m braid.
@@flynnellison9435 Im looking to buy one real soon, is either this or the F custom 1501hg. Trying my luck to see if someone really compared these 2 and gives me some insight.
@@chernlee88 depends if this diawa reel comes in lh. Also not many people use the fall lever on the f customs. I just got a 1501 xg and 2001nrxg from japan for about $200 cheaper than in aus per reel 👌
Tbh I think this is the pinnacle of slow pitch jigging reels.. can’t wait to get one. Love seeing the new stock videos keep ‘em coming cheers 🍻
Yeh it’s really impressive in the hand. Thanks amte

Nice, but the pinnacle of slow pitch reels is an Evergreen Oceanus ruclips.net/video/T1bxBQTf4-8/видео.html
Yeh if you want average finish quality and not able to get parts when there’s problems with it then buy a SOM 😂😂

Looks like Daiwa really liked the Ocea Jigger :D

Anodes should be external as they draw current towards it. Also they only work when submerged in water.
That’s a thing of beauty. Too damn expensive for me but it’s nice.
Would this be a good reel to fish 150 meters/ 500 feet. Also do you think it would struggle with 400-500 gram jigs
So they made an ocea jigger
Exactly 🤣
No, they put a spool lock on a Saltiga.
This reel is the exact same as the Ocea Jigger 2000. Except it being 100 grams lighter. I’ll keep my OJ and Accurates
I will use this on a Daiwa calina...Jig max 280g rod with spiral guides.
Whats better the 15H-SJ or the 15-SJ
That would look very good on my Zenaq Ikari 😍🤤
Indeed it would
look at Team Jaws Australia here on youtube and you can see how it looks like mate
That is one beefy little bastard. But I think I like the accurate BV300c better
Very nice.
Thanks for the helpful video
Thanks mate
What's the difference between the 15H and 15SJ?
The carbon handle
Wonder the size comparison..is it the same size with OJ 1501 or 2001?
I just got my 22 saltiga 15hl sj, and its similar size and capacity of line to my oj 2001
@@markanttrin thank a lot..pray u catch a lot of fish
Which one is better oj or saltiga???
Daiwa version of the Ocea Jigger🤷♂️

@@chernlee88 I bet you can find an ocea jigger for almost half the price of the saltiga. A no brainer!

WHat's the difference between this and the IC version? apart from IC having the indicator?
The IC is a a much smaller reel for light jigging. This is bigger and a lot more power
