Step 3 worked for me.
"3. Open the Elementor editor."
But how can we make it initialize immediately, without the need to go to Edit it first with the default editor then edit with Elementor? Is there a way to immediately implement it to all pages?

I have tried all these methods except the last one (not familiar with this sort of thing, and also, the function bar is showing, just the elementor button is missing). I am getting desperate - cannot get on with editing my pages!

@@HonestLady I'm afraid I can't remember what I did - it was a couple of months ago and I had a lot of other issues to deal with the get my WP blog up and running again, as well as other important non-computer issues going on in my life. Ultimately I stopped using the Themify theme and went onto OceanWP instead which was a lot better, and I was able to rebuild everything from there. I also installed a plugin called "Elementor Header and Footer Builder" which was brilliant. I am no expert on this kind of thing and it took a long time to get things up and running again. Sorry I can't be more help, and I hope someone else will have some answers for you.

#3 Did it for me. "Edit with Elementor" showed until I reset the site. Then no. But #3 fixed it.
