While Gnarnia is considered a double black diamond trail... Trail ratings are subjective to the park they are located at. What qualifies a trail to be a double black diamond at your local park? Let me know in the comments below and thanks for watching!
ive been to blankets b4 and am going this sunday to check this out...but by all the vids ive seen i dont understand the double black on this...there is bigger stuff on dwelling and van michal
Great video! Didn't know much about this trail before I came across it yesterday on my way to South Loop. Definitely a thrill hitting it blind for the first time. It's hard to capture just how sketchy that off-camber climb is. The narrow, off-camber section is very similar to some of the unmarked trails over at Mason Mill.
Great edit Caleb. I’m not ready to take on Gnarnia yet, but had fun riding The Holler with you the day before. Thanks for encouraging Lucas to hit the left side! He was so happy to see you out there. See you at Kolo.
Thanks Frank! Was a blast riding the holler with y’all and am working a short edit on it now! Lucas was shredding ! Tell him to keep it up and cya both at Kolo soon!
Definitely a good addition but I do wonder how the climb with keep up with the traffic blankets receives ... the sides were crumbling already on opening day
I’m surprised you can pick yours out of all the masses! Blankets gets so packed on the weekends it’s crazy! Thanks for the support dude ! Catch ya out there next time I hope!
Wow, Sixes road has really come a long way from the early 2000s. I remember when Van Michael was the gnarliest option within an hour of Atlanta, can't wait to give Gnarnia a shot the next time I'm down that way with my wheels.
If you think this is steep, you should check out the TTC Gravity Park and Jarrod’s place.... Looks like they did a pretty good job with the little hill they have there, not trying to say they didn’t do a good job on the berms, the log rides, and other features. That climbing goat trail is pretty wild, hand built old school goodness right there! Would be fun to ride that one downhill!
It’s definitely a fun trail and I’ve ridden steeper but it’s steep for the area considering it’s not in the mountains I worked the TTC go nuts race setting up the stages and tearing them down so I am very familiar. I haven’t been to jarrods yet but am excited to hopefully make a video on it when some lines become rideable !
Caleb, you’ll like the stuff at allatoona, pitner side, pretty decent little addition, more on par with big creek, not as big but some cool stuff for sure
With that mentality isn't every trail just a bunch of rocks and dirt and roots that you have to rather push or climb to get to the top then you get to just ride down the hill? The trails are what you make of them...
when it opens up is there a definite way to go? or do you get to a point and then just choose ur own adventure down...? because id like to follow a path.
The trail itself ends in a off camber right hand turn that drops about 20 ft of elevation in it. One of the harder lines in my opinion. There are optional lines that can take you down the side of the hill that you can scout out and then smash 💥
Great vid but I dont know if the that climb was worth the amount of downhill time we saw in the video. That is what throws me off of going to some of these places. Dont get me wrong I love that you show the climb, but when there is very little decent to show for a massive off camber climb I'm not comiting to that suffer fest.
Definitely go check out the trail for yourself … you always will have a good downhill if you work hard on a climb but this descent is rather short because it’s rather steep so kind of gotta pick your poison

It’s very gopro affected. It’s big. I’ve ridden VMT and dwelling hundreds of times. They have nothing on gnarnia
For sure it’s all harder than vmt or dwelling . The lines at the end are steep and techy
@@skinnyslide the greater possibility of death or paralysis?? lol
All the trails are about step down from wut they are rated except the holler.
Thank you very good video! Put together very well!

I wonder how long the climb will sustain with the traffic that blankets gets? But it is a sick nasty trail with some good fun stuff!

Well done Caleb, love the opening sequence. Difficult trail that you captured perfectly.
Thanks mate! Couldn’t of asked for a better compliment !
The clips are sick I’m surprised on how good your new cameras worked. Also I’m the GT kid in the video
Thanks Jacob! Good cameras only work well if the rider is slayin it like you were that day! 🤟🚲🦅
Hey Jacob. It’s always fun to watch you ride. Lucas learns a lot from you. ruclips.net/channel/UCsBWtmEf56f1aKKGomkRR0g
Nice! Not that I needed another reason to visit blankets but that looks like fun!
Definitely a good addition but I do wonder how the climb with keep up with the traffic blankets receives ... the sides were crumbling already on opening day
Great video! I see my car in the parking lot. I actually ran into you guys as you were rolling out to Gnarnia. Nice work!

I have a good reason to make the drive over to Blankets now 👍
The holler was running great when I was there too!
Great video! Getting better every time.
Thanks dude! This trail made me try to get creative ! 🤟🚲🦅
Some good shots and nice editing, good job.
Thanks mate!
As a local i still have not hit this trail yet but i am sooooooo pumped
Lemme know what you think when you get to actually get out and ride it!
@@MtbFrequentFlyer i’m riding it later today
Awesome video love to see more !!!!!!!!!!!
I plan to do another video focused on quell holler
Nice video. I’m headed there soon.
I plan to do a video on the holler jump line soon myself. Hope to see ya out there!

There are some really fun trails there and the volunteers that maintain them are vigilant ! Come check it out sometime soon🤟
crazy to see gnarnia turned into an actual area now. those drops were unmarked for the ballsier types for a long time!
Wonder what the downhill chutes will look like after a year of blankets traffic 💀
Gonna get super gnarly 🤞

So thankful to the volunteers that made it happen!
amazing drone footage my guy
Thanks dude ! Can’t wait to get more comfortable and confident with it! 🤟
@@MtbFrequentFlyer I know the feeling I am still learning too
You should ride el scorcho at big creek park in Roswell Georgia
Super fun trail! Especially the gully section 2.0
If you like this, you really need to try some of the trails at Allatoona Creek Park too.
That is on my list 4 sure! I’ve heard they are doing work at the Pitner dog park side too?
@@MtbFrequentFlyer Yep. They had 30+ volunteers working on jump lines there last weekend. They call it a "Skills Yard"

Added this to the trails to visit list.
Definitely worth riding when at blankets since it’s completely different than the rest of the park
4:40 perfect attack position
I went back to watch thinking you were being sarcastic.
But I gotta say I did a fine job
So its a flow trail that ends at a steep hill that you push up and then just fuck around on some steep chutes? Um, I'll try containing my excitement..

29ers on flow look so derpy.
Your tape measure is broken.
I’d tell you to hit it for yourself but Danielle would kill me ... 😳💀
Holy shit you got really good film making 😍
Thanks dude !!
