Riding the new SUPERGIRL Sky Flyer at Six Flags New England

Six Flags New England just opened its newest ride, the SUPERGIRL Sky Flyer, and MassLive's Cassie McGrath and Tristan Smith were among the first to try it.
The ride stands nearly seven stories tall and propels riders in the air at 25 miles per hour into a near-vertical spin.

What a great way to reimagine the old enterprise rides into something a bit more secure feeling, but just as thrilling. At fifty-five I still love riding something like this.

Yes I miss the enterprise at my park. Was right by the entrance/exit... always the final ride often falling asleep when spider down from walking the park all day long...then when I did get to bed I could still feel like I was going upside down and drifted off in a happy slunber.
Next year I turn 50!

Anyone remember a ride similar to this decades ago at Great Adventure called Enterprise? There were no individual seats and no safety restraints like shoulder harnesses or seatbelts. You'd basically cram up to two or three people in a cage and would straddle a bench seat. And it was the g-forces that pressed you in your seat and prevented you from hitting your head on the roof of the cage you were in as it went upside down. Man I miss that ride.
