How is mirroring different than CDC ?
Could mirroring replace simple Pipelines that just copy data from one location to another or kind of pipeline with just copy activity ?

Hi @naunihalsidhu per Bradley "OHHHH I love this question and where your are going! The short answer is yes & it depends. Mark has a couple more videos on his channel but he and I have talked A LOT about this. If you understand the source, if you are ok with keeping the code up to date, then you could do this with just about anything that has a CDC connection or that you code the logic for. Mark has done this for Excel, CSV's, Access, Sharepoint Lists, and we have discussed building our own for SQL, Oracle, or even Dedicated Pools. This really does take the power of this feature and put it into your hands!"

@@Tales-from-the-Field I have a python routine that rips Oracle tables to parquet, multi-threaded using Oracle RowID for paralel rip of tables. Works very well, then I use DBT-DuckDB for modeling, development, QA. Most of the people who would benefit at my org from this superb workflow and data product would want to consume/explore it in Fabric/PBI.
