2000 NASCAR Busch Series Food City 250

The annual night race at Bristol. The same action packed Bristol race you would expect, but absolutely dominated by rookie Kevin Harvick. Harvick led 241 of 250 laps. The other 9 were led by Kyle Petty under yellow.

perhaps even more surprising is there were more fans for a Busch Series race at Bristol in 2000 than there are at a Cup Series race at Bristol in 2012.

Kevin Harvick wins and uses the same car the next year, dubbed the Punisher to make two laps up and win in a thrilling finish, then later crashes it in the spring of 2002 and has the altercation with Greg Biffle.

It's hard to believe all 3 drivers involved in that 2nd caution are gone now. R.I.P. Blaise Alexander, Jason Leffler and Dick Trickle. Also the same to Kevin Grubb, who was involved in the 1st wreck.
