Hello I just bought it and it looks nice. But I thought I could turn it on/off with my mobile, adjust the temperature etc. What is smart about just seeing the temperature on your phone?
Not good. It may be precise control but even at the lowest setting "1" it is still way too hot to use for delicate cooking or even keeping food warm, it will scorch things! It won't even keep a pressure cooker warm without overheating at its lowest setting. We Don't need precision at high temperatures, only at low ones and this piece of crap was designed, like most other induction cookers too hot at the lowest end to use for cooking where you need precision. It also has a very annoying high frequency whining fan that hurts your ears after a little while. Also, it came without a converter plug for the US, and I had to make one. I know how, but you may not. Don't ask about the manual, it is only Chinese and you cannot use an interpreter program on it. This is a waste of money, leave it in China
If you use it with the mi app installed in your phone, you can set the temperature in celcius degree.. i can set it at 60 or 80 degree celcius and my omelete can cooked perfectly without burning. I never use it with that scrolling knob, i alway set the temperature with the app

this induction cooktop only looks wins the heart with its looks and mijia signature style.otherwise functionality wise it is just another cooktop wth a fancy wifi. the temperature sensor ur talking about is already encapsulated in the centre of the most available india induction cooktops.it is hidden under the glass panel and not visible frm outside.the sensor is also magnetic sensor.it senses if a pan is placed or not or if the pan is induction friendly or not. incase of non compatible cookware the inductions automatically stop. so its a common feature. i have a philips induction cooktop top model with this sensor builtin. on the contrary the open visible sensor in mijia could lead to problem once u drop boiling milk or water or gravy.it might be tough to get the groovws cleaned.it can get jammed.and moat importantly once it stops working it will be hard to find its parts. so i think u should have mentioned these points while reviewing a product coz there are several indian customers who dnt understand these things in deep.

took me a while to figure out, but adding any setting with a temperature mode in the app allows it to change into a low power mode, in which you can warm up water without boiling. I removed all the default modes and added my own: power(75%) I use this one for generic cooking and can set any power level with the dial anyway Temp 40 C (min temperature) Temp 55C Temp 70C Temp 80C

Maybe it was too hot bc you ran it at 60hz (in America) and it's designed for 50hz.
