The pre-loading pop principle is what i found out myself learning to ollie over a street cone. It applies to almost every tricks that has a pop in it. I know a bit of martial arts and one thing my teacher told me is that most people focus more on the speed of the projectile rather than the WEIGHT. Power = Speed × Mass. That means we have to emphasize both for maximum power output. Imagine slapping yourself really fast with a feather, it wouldn't hurt. Now change that feather to something like a rolled-up napkin. It hurts like shit. Same speed, different mass. This means that if we put more weight into our popping foot, the board will hit the ground much harder and therefore produce more bouncing effect. I sometimes even put most of my weight on the popping foot and use the other foot to squeeze the board down so it wouldn't manual.
@@InternationalBassNation I barely weigh 115 lbs so no problems for me. Never broke a board in my damn life. Maybe I'm just too much of a pussy to jump down fat stuff.😂

I have a trash nollie heel and have never done a nollie fs 180 heel; but I can do nollie inward heels... For me, it’s one of those “stand-alone” tricks that doesn’t really depend on the “building block” component tricks as much.
Ben Degros Yeah, it took a minute getting use to the steepness of the nose, but it’s been butter ever since. They remind me a lot of my favorite boards from the early 00’s made by a short lived company called Popwar. Still one of my all-time favorites.

Hey Ben I’ve got a question. How do yo stop your deck from getting razor tail in 2 sessions. I have just got a new board, like a week ago and have already gone through 5 plys please help!
8.5 boards, 149 indys are the bests to nollie inwards, now im riding a 8 deck with 139 indy standart, so lets see how this one is going to be with my new setup, i was skating 8.5 boards for the past 5 years, now im with the 8 again
i think straight nollie heels are more difficult. I can nollie inward in about 2 to 3 tries , same with nollie heels. The difference is that i dont practice nollie inwards at all but i have been doing a straight 8 every day for about 3 months ..... your inwards are pretty sick btw
I can do them, but sporadically. 95% of the time they only flip halfway, and another 3% of the time my heelflipping foot doesn't land on the board. I'll try your foot positioning to see if it helps, but I doubt it; there's never any magical change that makes me really good at a trick, it's always a long Sisyphean struggle. Thanks, Ben.
just earned a subscriber but i must say if yu havebeen skting for a while and cannot do bollie heelflips or nollie 180 heelflips you can learn this is you can nollie and have been skating for a few years
Shut up and skate goes pretty far. Actually researching and learning the basics, while spending time on board pushing down the road or riding back and forth on sidewalks to gain board control
i learned them without knowing nollie fs heels only nollie heel and a shitty nollie shuv it, u only requiere nollie heelflip to be able to do a nollie inward not even nollie shuvs, the real important thing is the foot positioning you showed thats whats enables the rotation just pop a nollie heel and magic u get the nollie inward heel rotation automatically
My nollie heelflips are not so good and I've never landed nollie front heel but my nollie inward heels are so good! Rotation is just easy, easier than in regular inward heels. I wish I didn't twist my ankle:(
