Hey Guys, thank you for watching I wanted to explain my settings as i know i will get questions about it :) f1.2- I love shooting wide open, but here it's actually important to shoot high f stop if you want to achieve the "bokeh " effect ISO 500-800 and 1/250 - I prefer to go up on my ISO rather than lower on the shutter speed, because i am shooting wide open in a low light situation. I would rather avoid blurry out of focus images and stay at 1/250 and up. I don't mind a bit of noise, and because i am shooting with a full frame camera on RAW, its not that big of a deal ;) hopefully that helps !
Hi I notice that you are not using the lens shade. Is that random (like is not needed) or does it help to get the look? The results are great as always.
Very nice quick tutorial and demonstrating lights I already have laying around. Very much appreciated, I'm so glad I found your channel today :) Happy Image Making! Thumbs UP!
Love watching you create. You are so alluring. Your voice and your beauty are very intoxicating. Don't want to make this strange or creepy because I love and learn so much from you. But I think I get as much of a rush from you as I do from your work. I've been shooting for decades in the entertainment biz and primarily love to shoot beauty and fashion so I'm no stranger to beautiful women. I love the unity of this photographic community on RUclips so I have many faves but I truly feel you have a very exceptional talent and a very fresh presentation. You are a great teacher Irene and an inspiration to so many. Thank you f
I always get excited when you post, I just wish your vids were longer cause I can't get enough of them lol but anyway the lights, the music, the theme, the model, the atmosphere everything just made me feel all kinds of winter vibes, warm and cozy
Loved the idea! I work in tv and my good friend and great photographer always tells me “manage your available light”. This is a great creative example of that! Going to share it over on my work FB WCNC Bill McGinty.
Excellent video, very enjoyable, I'll try playing around with the Christmas lights myself & see what sort of results i can get, thanks for the inspiration.
Great! I found similar christmas lights powered by batteries and intended to do the same here. I pay atention and apreciate your style decisions too. Cheers.
I love this 😍 your work always blows me away and continues to inspire me to keep learning and practicing the best that I can. Would love to have a meet up one day! Gonna have to go out and get more lights
Hi Irene, I love your videos! They're so helpful and your images turn out beautifully! I was wondering if you alter your white balance settings often depending on the environment, such as very warm/yellow lights here in this shoot. I only have a Nikon D7000 right now and am looking into a setup like yours, so I'm not sure how different the cameras are other than mine not being a full-frame camera. I have trouble when setting my white balance with my camera.
OMG Irene I have been watching all your videos for a while now and you are mi idol! It's just amazing what you do. Congratulations on your amazing talent!
I really like her outfits. She seems like a strong and sassy type and the typical soft fairytale stuff might not have been the best choice. She looks so good. There are a lot of strong and empowered type where I live in SoCal. I think photography is like cooking, we got to adapt to the models' innate personalities, like how a chef must adapt to the ingredients and their natural flavors. I think this might be something interesting to try. Rather than imposing your fairytale artistic vision on the models, maybe pick out a model with some strong and distinctive personalities and design a shoot around that. I think that would be very interesting. :D
kevinr ruiters I did search. But she gets a lot of responses.....so sometimes it helps to answer it twice. Regardless I'll do a search from a desktop because I dont see that option on my phone
She did video called "How I Get a Sharp Image at Low F Stop , 1.2" ruclips.net/video/rNh5VJpUQz4/видео.html It has non public status so that's why you could not find him. But she doesn't talk in this video about what focusing option she use. She using focus and recompose technique photographylife.com/focus-and-recompose-technique
Great work! Just want to know how did you control the sharpness? Shooting at 1.2 is pretty challenging, especially when you focus and re-composition. Thanks.
Just a note, if your using an 85f1.8 on a crop sensor camera, you will need quite a bit more space than in the video. I love the focus on inspiration and creativity instead of gear and money.
Hey Irene, very nice work! I have a question: did you make some postproduction on the pictures or are they as where taken? Thanks a lot and you work is really amazing, nice to follow and watch your videos.
Btw did you make that Squarespace intro with that timelapse overhead shot? If so... wow! That was an awesome intro to that plug! Nicely done! Best I have seen!
I saw this one in FSTOPERS. I was happy to see it there. So let see: International seminaries, fstoppers, 100K+ views in this video. It's me or someone is getting her talent and dedication recognized? Keep the excelent work!!!

Irene is goalssss.
Irene can you talk about what focusing option you use? Do you use a single spot sensor or do you activate zone focusing?
She has already answered this question in another video specially dedicated to it. Please search around in her collection.

I have a crop sensor camera with 35mm/f1.8 lens. What would be your suggestions to get an image closer to as shown in the video?
@@pd5009 get a longer lens, or move yourself and the model a lot further away from the lights.
Thank you for this video. You've inspired me to give this a try. I hope my results will come out as good as yours.
Super cool! 😊😊
Beautiful Images Irene. :)
Wonderful photos
2:18 No no, Irene, you'll need a fedora for that. :) Majestic work and outstanding results as usual. Hugs and love
Hey Irene, very nice work! I have a question: did you make some postproduction on the pictures or are they as where taken? Thanks a lot and you work is really amazing, nice to follow and watch your videos.
I don't post unfinished images, so yes, they have been edited :)
You really are a beauty Irene! ❤
Interesting video! I like your style.

With the sales tag left on, makes me wonder if you were you able to return the clothes?
That's what I was thinking...

1:45 To make the photographer's life easier, he can also stick the lights into his nose or the ears.
