- In this video I finish what I started with the first video. I actually meant for this all to be one video but had technical difficulties the first time. Enjoy!

Brad. I will never be able to thank you enough for your videos. I bought my Floriani Total Control about 2 months ago. This video allowed me to do my first embossing project and I added the satin outline. Wow! My confidence, due to your generosity, is loving my software. Thank you again
Just want to thank you for your amazing videos. I just got the software upgrade a few days ago, and today I worked on a towels embossing design, playing your video on my phone while I followed the steps on the computer. It took a couple of tries, but finally I got the hang of it, which I probably would not have done without your help. Again, thank you very much!
Again, a great video. And timely, because I have been asked to donate some towels for a fund raiser. Good cause, building a new fire house! I am going to use a fire motif with the fire badge seal in the middle. And I am going to outline it all with a satin stitch. Nothing like starting with the hardest project.
Thank you for all you contribute to our craft.
Great stuff! Love your no nonsense way of teaching this program. Glad to have you as a resource!
Your videos have been extremely helpful. Do you already have a video on how to hoop split designs? Would you consider making one if you don't already. I have no problem splitting a design with FTC, but I don't know how to get that second hooping done correctly.
Would it be a correct assumption, that on an embossed design like this on a towel, you would use a wash away stabilizer on the back and a wash away topper on the top? Since you can't hoop the towel, do you spray an adhesive and baste around the design before beginning? Thanks a bunch. Just found your videos. Awesome - will be working every step of the way with you through FTCU!! :)
wash away on the back yes, no topper though. the whole point of a topper is to keep the stitches from sinking down into the nap, which is what we actually WANT them to to in this case. If you can't hoop the towel, yeah use some adhesive and add a basting stitch before it sews out. I use the magnetic monster hoop from DIME though personally and it works great.
Happy Sunday
I do love all your videos no matter what program you have in videos. I followed you through this video up until I had to break apart letters, I right clicked on my letter that i needed to break apart but my box that came up I did not see break apart in my drop down box . I even tried to use the icon on top break apart and nothing happened.
are you using ftc-u?
Brad Martin
Yes I had to get help from Tech Support Floriani Now so far everything that I was having problems with is working. when you was doing the hoop, then dragged a rectangle box in I could not use my shapes or symbols icon now I can
Hi Brad, I downloaded the PEP embroidery software as you mentioned. I cannot get the newest version and new features or the monthly designs. It is asking for a serial number that did not come with the download. I do have the Florini pro on my computer. What did I do wrong? PS. Your are my software guru. Keep up the excellent videos.
if you have total control pro on your computer and it is activated it should work, maybe send an email to DIME about it.
How many viewer questions are you up for answering? I have several! 1) What happened to being able to right click on the top tool bar and choose 'Center Origin'? Is it somewhere else now or currently missing? 2) Did they relocate 'Batch Conversion' or is it also currently missing? 3) I am also missing 'Save as Image'. Is there another way to get an image of your design? Thanks!!
well i'm gonna be out of town for the next week, so no video response but 1)Center button is right next to the rotate right button. looks like a square with lines coming out. Does the same thing as center orgin. 2) No batch conversion atm 3) If there's a way to do it I must have had too many digitizing beverages cause I can't find it. If you want an image of your design and don't want to just open FTC-P to do it... well there's no good way to do that for right now. I am told eventually all of the lost functionality from FTC-P will be migrated to FTC-U so maybe it will be there in the future.
Hi Brad, Your videos are awesome. Just picked up my upgrade (FTCU) and try as I might can't get the free monthly designs on my computer to use in the program. I can still open all in FTCP, are they in a different directory? I have gone through the process and after they unzip the folder is empty. Will you be doing a video on this subject?
FTC-U doesn't read .c2s files. Your free designs are stuck on FTC-P till they update the new software to read the old format.
So is what you're saying is we can't use the free monthly designs in FTCU?
Can we convert them into a different format and then use them?
yep. one at a time!
they are working on making it able to read them is what I heard though.
Thank you so much and sharing all your knowledge
Brad could u do a video in how to batch convert the c2s files in old ftcp so they can work in ftcu. Fyi u were talked about on myfloriani.club blog. (How good your videos r)
well I don't know of any way to batch convert .c2s files. I can do it with most embroidery formats but .c2s is proprietary. Didn't know they talked about my videos I'll check it out!
Hello Brad
ok I have a baby-lock Esante my big hoop is a 6x9 so what size hoop do I need ??
esante big hoop is 160x260
Good video thanks
I am trying a new design, but isn't working. I am thinking because isn't a close shape. It has to be a close shape like a oval, circle, rectangle or it can be an open shape?
has to be a closed shape
Where do you find the start and end commands in the new software? Trim? :)

Brad Martin Thanks for that super quick response and video! It seemed so much more simple before when the start and stop commands were just under commands in the properties box.
