    I do not leave windows open or doors open, yet I still have spiders and I am terrified of them. I have a black widow that is hard to catch. I don't think peppermint and lemon is going to cut it.

      Spray bottle feel with 1/2 white vinegar and water, I spray doors windows, corners of rooms. I've also used peppermint oil outside and it worked, they have not returned where I sprayed, also in your home you can add peppermint to the vinegar spray, smells good and they both work well against spiders

    The spider swallowing thing was just a social experiment to see how fast information travels and it obviously goes quick but this was done years ago and haven’t seen many people debunk it

    Absolutely untrue on why they are crazy active during that two month British summer time. Please look up actual academic papers if you care enough (or as phobic as I am) . Took me many hours to learn about it all. As a South African who moved here in my teens (I literally slept in our swimming pool on a lilo when spiders and hand sized, flying coackroaches who can sneak through paper width spaces get bold). Firstly, let’s squish some not true popular theories. In spite of what your “brave” beef eating, bacon butty loving, suddenly an ambassador of animal welfare helper says, these are NOT outside insects. Yes, they look like they eat chihuahua ls for breakfast but no, they actually live indoors all year round. They WILL return to your house. Also YOUR house, unless it’s at least a 10 minute drive away, they will come back to their home. Your home? Also, they aren’t confused. The general August time is their mating season (as in Texas “moving road” phenomenon with male tarantulas on the prowl for action) so the ones you see are the males. The females are in our houses year round, both genders are very shy and you won’t know they are in your home until this time of year. It’s the guys seeking out the females. No “natural” remedy will stop them, I have had a door way bushel of peppermint leaves, cloves and cookers amongst other and literally WATCHED males crawl over them like it was nothing, so sting is the horn dog in them. So your options are basically fumigate before July, get seriously strong spider spray off the internet (the stuff they have on the uk, they use it like axe body spray). Their webs are distinctive triangles that look like a wall hammock no bigger than a hand.if you’d like more advice message below x good luck and may your heart hold out this next season 🖖🏻

      @@ImpulsedFilmaker-ux2ch Not in my experience. I’ve literally poured pure peppermint oil on my door threshold and painted it around the entire doorway frame before and seen them walk over it with my own eyes. When I’m mating season the males are so set in finding females they will do anything at their own peril to do so. This year I have poured dish liquid in the metal funnel of my front doorway and painted pure dish liquid around the frame and had glued down mesh on my windows (so they stay open always) and so far so good. The extreme astringent dish liquid seems to have worked thus far. I have used Diatomaceous earth in the past to kill a flea infestation (my mother is super allergic to all insecticides and die a surgery so needed something very natural) and it worked a treat so my plan is to get some for spiders too. It works by drying out the insect’s exoskeleton so much they die quickly. It’s an abrasive and highly dehydrating powder, generally non toxic to humans though. So that’s my next plan, powdering ALL storage are ads and entrance ways. I hate killing them, I always feel awful after but the panic attacks are too much for me. I hope the soap continues to deter them 🙏

    I’ve been trying to trap a black widow spider that’s invaded my office. It’s venomous, so I wouldn’t mind killing it, but I can’t use insecticides. I thought of trying glue traps. Would those work? What would be a good bait?

      Get raid freeze spray, you might need half a can for a BW, but it will die.

    • @izzytyler8872
      @izzytyler8872 Год назад

      Oh!!! I have the solution!!! It’s called diatomaceous earth!!! My Mom is allergic to all toxic stuff so had to research non human toxic ways to kill fleas. This stuff also kills pretty much all insects, the ones it doesn’t it certainly drives them away before they die!!

    • @izzytyler8872
      @izzytyler8872 Год назад

      Absolutely, diatomaceous earth apparently has some kind of silica compound (please google it yourself as I may get the specifics wrong) that dries out the exoskeleton of insects but totally harmless to humans and pets (unless in a cloud that is breathed in like baby powder-so wait for it to settle before going in to the area without a mask etc) and if they lick their paws etc totally harmless. But it definitely kills all bugs in my recent experience. Had hundreds of thousands of fleas at my Mom’s house and ALL were gone within 4 days. She had zero reaction (she has eczema and a cough at the slightest thing) and she had no reaction at all. Good luck man, just remember good grade. It’s still cheap and like a bag of flour. Sprinkle it around and you’ll see results FAST! I wish it was more well known!
