i think reyes proves dynamic technical striking is no longer where Jon is at the top, if issy doesn't get taken down or put in the clinch he might have a shot. Having said that i really dont see Jon getting knocked out, and i think the later rounds would just be really bad for issy.

I'm contradicting myself here, but if Adesanya improves his takedown defense to an elite level and truly muscles up, perhaps he could keep the fight on his feet and whoop Jones. The verdict is if Reyes could Israel could but with patience and maturity over the next two years if Jones isn't beat before then. Age my friends will count.
People need talking about Izzy muscling up for so long. And I think his skinny body is the biggest distraction for his opponent.
But I think he's done enough to prove doubters wrong.
He's not unbeatable, but no one should point to his size as a talking point.
People just saying that izzy will win automatically if its stood up I think is nonsensical. I like Izzy but honestly at times he has struggle maintaining distance against shorter fighters. Also Jones isn't like a Romero or Whittaker. Jon throws a lot of leg kicks and those oblique kicks slow movement and that's what saved him when he fought against better boxers (Gus, Reyes,). Plus he gets to potentially study film which he clearly does well at, and before they meet Adesanya will fight Paulo Costa and if he struggles being around the cage and in the clinch with him Jon may use that to obliterate him. Also age really doesnt factor either. People act like Jones is 38 because he's been fighting awhile but he's only 32 and Adesanya is 30 himself.
